Warm feet are extremely important for feeling comfortable. Anyone who has ever had cold feet in bed knows that it is very difficult to fall asleep. If your feet are warm, the rest of your body often is too! With warm feet, you are much better able to keep yourself going. Our pure wool socks are warm and soft. The pure wool, as it were, places a warm, enveloping layer around your body, which means you lose much less heat and this heat is regulated. This saves loads of wasted energy. You will notice that you sleep better and are much less fatigued.

So if you are doubting between 2 sizes, we advise you to choose the smaller size. Example: do you wear size 39/40? Then choose size 38/39. Do you wear size 40/42, then choose 40/41. Wool socks often get a bit wider when you wear them. It is annoying if wool socks bunch up because they are too large. If in doubt, you can always contact us. The cuffs of the pure wool socks contain tiny elastic threads, so you don't have to worry about the socks sliding down. The elastic does not touch the skin. The socks are not skin-tight: so if you suffer from "thick" ankles, you don't have to worry about the socks pinching.

Wool has the fantastic property of self-cleaning,

Do you still want to wash them? Always do so on a wool wash program with a wool detergent that contains lanolin. Wool shrinks due to temperature fluctuations, not due to heat. A wool wash program maintains the same temperature throughout, making the chance of shrinkage very small. Wool wash at a low temperature and the lowest possible spin speed.

Pure wool socks wear out!

Even yours: There is absolutely nothing you can do about it... And it can happen sooner than you think. The fact that pure wool socks wear out is because our socks, unlike 99% of all other "wool socks" sold, truly contain no synthetic yarns. This makes the wool much more vulnerable to wear and tear. We therefore recommend that you alternate your socks regularly and purchase several pairs. Always wear them in well-fitting shoes, in which you do not "slide". That significantly speeds up the wear process. For some, it happens after just a few days, and others can wear them for winters. Fortunately, wool socks are easy to darn; in our webshop you will find darning wool, darning needles, darning eggs and wooden darner mushrooms. Check your socks after every wear to see if they have become thin. Typical places are at the toes, under the ball of your foot or at the heels. Do this in time, so that the pure wool socks do not start to fray.
