Warm feet are extremely important for feeling comfortable. Anyone who has ever had cold feet in bed knows that it is very difficult to fall asleep. If your feet are warm, the rest of your body often is too! With warm feet, you can keep yourself going much better. Our pure wool socks are warm and soft. Pure wool creates a warm, enveloping layer around your body, which reduces heat loss and regulates warmth. This saves tons of lost energy. You will notice that you sleep better and feel much less tired.

So if you are in doubt between 2 sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller size. Example: do you wear size 39/40? Then choose size 38/39. Do you wear size 40/42, then choose 40/41. Wool socks often become slightly looser when you wear them. It is annoying when wool socks bunch up because they are too loose. If in doubt, you can always contact us. The cuffs of the pure wool socks contain minuscule elastic bands, so you don't have to worry about the socks sliding down. The elastic does not touch the skin. The socks are not skin-tight: so if you suffer from "thick" ankles, you don't have to worry about the socks pinching.

You don't need to wash pure and 100% wool socks.

Wool has the fantastic property that it cleans itself,
so just hang them out for a night, and you can wear them again the next day! Do you want to know how this works exactly? We made a nice and informative vlog that explains this. You can find it here. Do you still want to wash them? If so, ALWAYS do so on a wool wash cycle with a wool detergent containing lanolin. Wool shrinks due to temperature differences, not heat. A wool wash cycle maintains the same temperature throughout, making the chance of shrinkage very small. Wool wash at a low temperature and with the lowest possible spin speed.

Pure wool socks wear out!

Yours do too: There is absolutely nothing you can do about that... And it can happen faster than you think. The fact that pure wool socks wear out is because our socks, unlike 99% of all other "wool socks" sold, really contain no synthetic yarns. This makes the wool a lot more vulnerable to wear and tear. We therefore recommend rotating your socks regularly and purchasing multiple pairs. Always wear them in well-fitting shoes where you don't "slide." That significantly accelerates the wear and tear process. For some it happens after just a few days, and others can wear them for winters. Fortunately, wool socks are easy to darn; in our webshop, you will find darning wool, darning needles, darning mushrooms, and darning eggs. Check your socks after every wear to see if they have become thin. Typical spots are at the toes, under the ball of your foot, or at the heels. Do this in time so that the pure wool socks do not start to unravel.
