What makes a wool-silk bonnet so special?
We often get questions like: “What is a bonnet? Isn't it too warm? Can they wear it at night?” Understandable. But once you realize how important temperature regulation is for newborns, you will understand why a wool-silk bonnet is such a valuable addition.
Babies' heat regulation systems do not yet work optimally. They lose heat very quickly, especially through their heads. And the energy lost to the cold? That is energy they miss for growth and development. A bonnet made of organic wool and silk prevents that. The wool keeps your baby warm, while the silk provides softness and protection against overstimulation. Without your child overheating.
Bonnets: practical and safe
Our bonnets are of the so-called helmet model: nicely fitted, with long strings to safely tie the bonnet under the arms or at the back. This way, it stays neatly in place and does not slide over the face. Made of 70% organic wool and 30% silk – pure nature, therefore. No plastic, no chemicals, no unnecessary fuss.
When do you use a wool-silk bonnet?
Actually, always. Day and night, summer and winter. Does your baby have a lot of hair? Still then. It is about protection and that safe, secure feeling. A wool-silk bonnet is not a luxury; it is a loving foundation.
