Woolen hiking socks for warm, comfortable feet

They are made for those who love being outdoors and want to utilize the natural properties of wool.
The socks are made of pure virgin wool and are manufactured in Germany. Wool helps regulate temperature and moisture, and is less prone to picking up odors. This does not mean that your feet will never get clammy or that a sock can prevent blisters, but a good woolen sock can contribute to a more pleasant climate inside your hiking boot.
The right combination of sock and hiking boot
A hiking sock only works well when your shoe fits properly as well. Too much space causes your foot to slide; a shoe that is too tight creates pressure and friction. Therefore, put on the socks when trying on hiking boots and check that your toes have sufficient room.

Hirsch Natur woolen socks generally run large. Are you between sizes? In that case, usually choose the smaller size. A sock that is too big can wrinkle and start sliding in your shoe. This is less comfortable and can cause additional friction.
It is best to test new hiking boots or socks during a short walk before going on a long hike with them.
Air out your hiking socks after wearing
Hang the socks out after a walk and let them dry thoroughly. Wool is less prone to picking up odors, meaning that washing is often not yet necessary. Do they need to be washed after all? Use the wool wash cycle, a low temperature, and a low spin speed. With Lanalicious wool detergent with lanolin, you take care of the wool while washing. Do not use fabric softener and do not tumble dry.
Wear and tear is part of intensive use
Hiking creates a lot of friction, even with a sturdy sock. How quickly wear occurs depends on, among other things, your shoes, the fit, your walking style, and usage. Rotate between different pairs and check the toes, heels, and the ball of the foot after longer hikes.
