Sounds pretty good, right? IT IS! We are THRILLED with our own brand of wool and silk detergent, which we have affectionately named: Lanalicious.
We had been searching for a long time for a detergent that is not only purely natural, without all the chemical junk, but that also does exactly what you expect from a wool detergent. Namely, cleaning your dearest beloved woolies and giving them an ultimate pampering moment... Lanalicious does all of that!

If you have known or followed us for a while, you know that we emphasize the proper washing of your clothes like no other. Your woolies need extra love in addition to a bit of care. That includes the perfect detergent.
Lanalicious contains lanolin, and we think that is the most important thing.
Why? You wouldn't polish your leather shoes with just water, would you? That wouldn't make any sense at all. Our untreated organic wool clothing still contains wool fat, i.e., lanolin, which ensures that your woolies remain antibacterial, do not hold odors, and remain soft and supple. If you were to wash your wool only with a detergent containing degreasers (like most detergents), you would strip this amazing layer from your wool and, along with it, the rich properties that the wool possesses! That’s a shame, right?
With Lanalicious, you give your woolies exactly what they need: so that, in return, they can give you exactly what YOU need. Fair enough, right??
What exactly do you get?
Each bottle contains 500 ml of detergent, without fragrance. Do you want fragrance? Then add a few drops of essential oil of your choice to your wash. Not everyone likes fragrances, but everyone likes woolies! The bottle comes with a detailed description of how to (and not to) use the detergent. This detergent is not vegan, not tested on animals but it is tested on woolies, and contains lanolin and lactic acids.
And, every bottle contains vitamin L.... LOVE!

Warning: Causes eye irritation upon contact; keep out of reach of children. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with water for several minutes. Remove any contact lenses and continue rinsing.
FAQ about Lanalicious wool & silk detergent with lanolin
How do I dose Lanalicious?
Use 15 ml for a hand wash and 20 ml per 2.5 kilos of dry laundry in the machine. Always choose the wool wash program, maximum 30 degrees, and low spin speed. For additional washing advice, watch this video.
Is Lanalicious scented?
No, it is unscented. If you still want fragrance, add a few drops of essential oil to your wash.
For which materials is the Lanalicious detergent with lanolin suitable?
Specially developed for animal protein fibers: wool, alpaca, cashmere, mohair, silk, and wool-silk blends. For cotton/linen and ecovero/tencel fabrics, we recommend a different detergent. On these fabrics, Lanalicious can cause greasy stains because these fabrics cannot absorb the wool fat (lanolin).
Is Lanalicious vegan and animal-friendly?
Not vegan due to the lanolin (wool fat). The product is not tested on animals, and is therefore completely animal-friendly.
Can I also wash superwash wool with it?
Yes, you can, but it is not necessary. Lanalicious is especially ideal and specifically developed for untreated, organic wool because the lanolin nourishes and preserves the natural fat layer: such as the woolies you can buy from us. We do NOT sell superwash wool.
How do I store the bottle and are there safety instructions?
Store at room temperature, dry, and dark. Keep out of reach of children. In case of eye contact, rinse with water for a few minutes, remove contact lenses, and continue rinsing.
How long will a 500 ml bottle last?
Guideline: approximately 25 machine washes at 20 ml or about 33 hand washes at 15 ml.

The secret of lanolin
Lanalicious contains lanolin – and that is a gamechanger. After all, you don't polish your leather shoes with just water, do you? That makes no sense. Untreated organic wool still contains wool fat (lanolin), and that fat layer ensures that wool is antibacterial, does not hold onto odors, and stays wonderfully soft. Ordinary detergents with degreasers strip that layer off, and then you lose all the benefits of wool. A shame, right? With Lanalicious, you give your clothing exactly what it needs – so that it gives you back what you need: warmth, comfort, and durability.
