Thin Norwegian wool socks for regular shoes
All the warmth and comfort of wool, but without the bulk of a thick winter sock. When should you choose a thin wool sock?
A thin wool sock is useful when your shoes offer little extra room, but you prefer to trade cotton for wool. Wool helps regulate heat and moisture and is less prone to absorbing odors. This makes these socks pleasant for daily use, at work, and during cooler days.
Are you very sensitive to the cold or do you wear spacious boots or slippers? Then a thick Norwegian wool sock might be a better choice.
Hirsch Natur generally runs large
Are you doubting between two sizes? For Hirsch Natur, usually choose the smaller size. For example, if you wear shoe size 39/40, then size 38/39 is often the best choice. Moreover, wool can become slightly looser during wear.

Air-drying is often enough
Wool socks do not need to be washed after every wear. Hang them out to air overnight and give the wool time to recover. Often, you can wear them again afterwards.
Do they still need to be washed? Use the wool wash program, a low temperature, and a low spin speed. We recommend Lanalicious wool detergent with lanolin. Do not use fabric softener, avoid strong temperature fluctuations, and let the socks dry naturally in the air.
Thin pure wool socks are more delicate
For thin socks made of pure wool, honest usage advice is extra important. Because there is no synthetic reinforcement in the yarn, they may wear out sooner than thicker or synthetically reinforced socks. How quickly that happens depends on your shoes, fit, way of walking, and how often you wear the same pair.
Wear these socks in well-fitting shoes or slippers and not directly on the floor. Regularly check the toes, heels, and the underside of the ball of your foot.
