Not everyone is looking for very thick wool socks. That is why at Natur-el you will also find these fine, thin wool socks from Hirsch Natur. Model 156, along with the thin wool socks from Grodo, is among the thinnest wool socks in our collection.

In terms of thickness, you can compare them to ordinary cotton socks, but with the fine properties of pure wool. Wool keeps your feet pleasantly warm, breathes well, and is much less prone to absorbing odors. As a result, your feet stay fresh and comfortable for longer.

These thin wool socks fit easily into shoes where our thicker models would simply take up too much room. You can wear them all year round: on cooler days, but also in the summer when you like to wear wool on your feet.

Anyone who tends to get cold knows how much of a difference warm feet can make. These pure wool socks from Hirsch Natur will help you with that.

Thicker wool socks are generally warmer, but only when there is enough room for them in your shoes. If your socks and shoes are too tight, this can restrict circulation and leave you with cold feet anyway. Therefore, always choose a sock thickness that fits your shoes well.

Please note when choosing your size: Hirsch Natur socks run large. If in doubt between two sizes, choose the smaller size.

You don't need to wash wool socks nearly as often

Wool has natural self-cleaning and odor-resistant properties. As a result, you usually need to wash these socks much less often than cotton or synthetic socks. Often, airing them out overnight is enough to be able to wear them again the next day.

Do your socks need to be washed after all? Always follow the washing instructions and use a suitable wool detergent. We recommend Lanalicious wool detergent with lanolin. This cleans wool gently and helps maintain the natural properties of the wool. Do not use fabric softener and let the socks air dry.

Holes can form in pure wool socks

We like to be honest about that: socks made of 100% wool can wear out faster than socks to which synthetic fibers have been added. On the other hand, pure wool breathes wonderfully, wears comfortably, and is completely natural.

Due to their finer knit, these thin wool socks are more delicate than thick wool socks. Therefore, do not use them as slippers and always wear them in well-fitting shoes or slippers. Check the heel and the ball of the foot regularly. Do you see the wool getting thinner? Then you can reinforce this spot with darning wool before an actual hole forms.
