Warm feet are extremely important for feeling comfortable. Everyone who has ever had cold feet in bed knows that it is very difficult to fall asleep. If your feet are warm, the rest of your body often is too! With warm feet, you keep yourself standing much better. Our pure wool socks are warm and soft. The pure wool acts as a warm, enveloping layer around your body, which means you lose much less heat and this heat is regulated. This saves a mountain of lost energy. You will notice that you sleep better and are much less tired.

So if you are in doubt between 2 sizes, we advise you to choose the smaller size. Example: do you wear size 39/40? Then choose size 38/39. Do you wear size 40/42, choose 40/41. Wool socks often become slightly looser when you wear them. It is annoying if wool socks get "bunched up" because they are too loose. If in doubt, you can always contact us. The cuffs of the pure wool socks contain tiny elastic bands, so you don't have to worry about the socks sagging. The elastic does not touch the skin. The socks are not skin-tight: so if you suffer from "thick" ankles, you don't have to worry about the socks pinching.

You don't have to wash pure and 100% wool socks.

Wool has the fantastic property that it cleans itself,
so just hang them out for a night, and you can wear them again the next day! Do you want to know how exactly this works? We made a nice and informative vlog in which this is explained. You can find it here. Do you still want to wash them? Then ALWAYS do so on a wool wash cycle with a wool detergent that contains lanolin. Wool shrinks due to temperature fluctuations, not heat. A wool wash cycle maintains the same temperature throughout, which makes the chance of shrinkage very small. Wool wash at a low temperature and at the lowest possible spin speed.

Pure wool socks wear out!

Yours do too: There is absolutely nothing you can do about that... And it can happen faster than you think. The fact that pure wool socks wear out is because our socks, unlike 99% of all other "wool socks" sold, really contain no synthetic yarns. This makes the wool a lot more vulnerable to wear and tear. We therefore recommend that you alternate your socks regularly and purchase several pairs. Always wear them in well-fitting shoes, in which you do not "slide". That accelerates the wear process significantly. For some, it happens after just a few days, and others can last for winters. Fortunately, wool socks are easy to darn; in our webshop, you will find darning wool, darning needles, darning eggs, and darning mushrooms. Check your socks after each wear to see if they have become thin. Typical places are at the toes, under the ball of your foot, or at the heels. Do this in time so that the pure wool socks do not start to unravel.
