Warm feet are extremely important for feeling comfortable. Anyone who has ever had cold feet in bed knows that it is very difficult to fall asleep. If your feet are warm, the rest of your body usually is too! With warm feet, you keep yourself standing much better. Our pure wool socks are warm and soft. The pure wool puts a warm, enveloping layer around your body, as it were, which means you lose much less heat and this warmth is regulated. This saves piles of lost energy. You will notice that you sleep better and are much less tired.

So if you are in doubt between 2 sizes, we advise you to choose the smaller size. Example: do you wear size 39/40? Then choose size 38/39. Do you wear size 40/42, then choose 40/41. Woolen socks often become slightly looser when you wear them. It is annoying if woolen socks bunch up because they are too large. If in doubt, you can always contact us. The cuffs of the pure wool socks contain tiny elastic threads, so you don't have to worry about the socks sliding down. The elastic does not touch the skin. The socks are not skin-tight: so if you suffer from "thick" ankles, you don't have to worry about the socks pinching.

You do not need to wash pure and 100% wool socks.

Wool has the fantastic property of being self-cleaning,
so just hang them out for a night, and you can wear them again the next day! Do you want to know exactly how this works? We made a nice and informative vlog in which this is explained. You can find it here. Would you like to wash them anyway? Then ALWAYS do so on a wool wash cycle with a wool detergent that contains lanolin. Wool shrinks due to temperature fluctuations, not heat. A wool wash cycle stays at the same temperature the whole time, making the chance of shrinkage very small. Wool wash at a low temperature and the lowest possible spin speed.

Pure wool socks wear out!

Yours will too: There is absolutely nothing you can do about that... And it can happen sooner than you think. The fact that pure wool socks wear out is because our socks, unlike 99% of all other "woolen socks" sold, truly contain no synthetic yarns. This makes the wool a lot more vulnerable to wear and tear. We therefore recommend alternating your socks regularly and purchasing multiple pairs. Always wear them in well-fitting shoes where you don't "slide". That accelerates the wearing process significantly. For some it's after just a few days, and others can wear them for winters. Fortunately, woolen socks are easy to darn; in our webshop you will find darning wool, darning needles, darning eggs and wooden darning mushrooms. Check your socks after every wear to see if they have become thin. Typical places are at the toes, under the ball of your foot, or at the heels. Do this in time, so that the pure wool socks do not start to unravel.
