Warm feet are extremely important for feeling comfortable. Everyone who has ever had cold feet in bed knows that it is very difficult to fall asleep. If your feet are warm, the rest of your body usually is too! With warm feet, you hold your own much better. Our pure wool socks are warm and soft. The pure wool, as it were, places a warm, enveloping layer around your body, which means you lose much less heat and this heat is regulated. This saves piles of lost energy. You will notice that you sleep better and are much less tired.

So if you are in doubt between 2 sizes, we recommend that you choose the smaller size. Example: do you wear size 39/40? Then choose size 38/39. Do you wear size 40/42, then choose 40/41. Wool socks often become slightly roomier when you wear them. It is annoying if wool socks "bunch up" because they are too loose. If in doubt, you can always contact us. There are tiny elastic bands in the cuff of the pure wool socks, so you don't have to worry about the socks sliding down. The elastic does not touch the skin. The socks are not skin-tight: so if you suffer from "thick" ankles, you don't have to worry about the socks pinching.

Wool has the fantastic property that it cleans itself,
so hang them out for a night, and you can wear them again the next day! Do you want to know how this works exactly? We made a nice and informative vlog in which this is explained. You can find it here. Do you still want to wash them? Then ALWAYS do so on a wool wash cycle with a wool detergent containing lanolin. Wool shrinks due to temperature differences, not due to heat. A wool wash cycle has the same temperature throughout, which makes the risk of shrinkage very small. Wool wash on low temperature and at the lowest possible spin speed.

Pure wool socks wear out!

Even yours: You can't do a thing about it... And it can happen sooner than you think. The fact that pure wool socks wear out is because our socks, unlike 99% of all other "wool socks" that are sold, really do not contain any synthetic yarns. This makes the wool a lot more vulnerable to wear and tear. We therefore recommend that you alternate your socks regularly and purchase several pairs. Always wear them in well-fitting shoes, in which you do not "slide". That accelerates the wearing process significantly. For some it's after just a few days, and others can last for winters. Fortunately, wool socks are easy to darn; in our webshop you will find darning wool, darning needles, darning eggs and darning mushrooms. Check your socks after every wear to see if they have become thin. Typical spots are at the toes, under the ball of your foot or at the heels. Do this in time, so that the pure wool socks do not start to fray open.
