I really find this combination very beautiful: the blue Denim wool felt with the warm, honey-colored rubber sole underneath. It has a slightly softer look than Denim with Black, but offers exactly the same practical advantage: you get a wonderfully warm pair of Glerups boots and a sole that allows you to step out into the garden or onto the balcony without any hassle.

The Glerups Denim Rubber Honey is made from 100% natural wool felt. The high-cut model also encloses your ankle; while wool retains warmth, it can breathe and absorb moisture. So, not a bulky, fluffy synthetic slipper, but simply wool on your feet. And you can feel that difference.

Why choose Glerups Denim with a Honey rubber sole?

As far as we are concerned, this is a wonderful middle ground between a true house slipper and a sturdier indoor shoe. Inside, the wool felt feels warm and comfortable, while the rubber sole provides more grip than the version with leather.

And then there is the color, of course. Denim is blue, and the structure of the wool felt gives the color a beautiful heathered appearance. The lighter Honey sole offers a soft contrast to this. Do you love blue, but think a black sole is just a bit too dark? Then I would definitely look at this one.

What is the color Glerups Denim?

The name really says it all: Denim is a blue Glerup. The wool felt has an inherently heathered structure, which makes the color look more lively than a completely solid-colored blue slipper.

In this version, Denim is combined with the lighter Honey rubber sole. This gives the boot a softer and somewhat more natural look than the same Denim version with a black sole.

Why are Glerups so great for cold feet?

Because wool is excellent at insulating. Air is trapped between the wool fibers, which helps to retain heat around your feet. At the same time, wool can breathe and absorb moisture.

And that last point is at least as important. Because a slipper can be warm, but if your feet start to sweat inside, the fun is quickly over.

With this high Glerups boot model, the wool felt is not only around your foot but also around your ankle. Especially on cold floors or if you tend to have cold feet, we think that is absolutely wonderful.

What is a Honey sole on Glerups?

Honey is the lighter color of the rubber Glerups sole. The sole provides grip, is more moisture-resistant than the leather version, and is practical if you frequently step outside for a moment.

And it's great for your floor: the rubber sole is non-marking, meaning it leaves no streaks.

What is the difference between Glerups Rubber Honey and Rubber Black?

In terms of usage, there is no need to overcomplicate things. Both Honey and Black are rubber soles with grip that can handle damp surfaces better than leather.

The difference lies mainly in the appearance. Honey is lighter and more natural in color. Black is darker and provides a tougher, more rugged look.

With this blue Denim, we find Honey very beautiful because the contrast is softer. But, of course, this is entirely a matter of personal taste. That is why we simply stock both at Natur-el. Problem solved.

Can you walk outside with Glerups Rubber Honey?

For short distances, yes. That is precisely one of the advantages of the rubber sole. Popping out to the garden, the balcony, the shed, the car, or the mailbox is perfectly fine, even if the ground is a bit damp.

We do explicitly emphasize that Glerups remain house slippers. The rubber sole does not make them walking shoes. For a stroll through the park or a walk in the rain, just put on your outdoor shoes.

Glerups with rubber or leather sole: what suits me?

Do you use your Glerups exclusively indoors and want the most flexible slipper possible? Then the leather sole is wonderful. It is thin, flexible, and moves easily with your foot.

Do you regularly step outside at home, do you want more grip, or do you prefer a sole that handles damp surfaces better? Then we would choose rubber.

What size Glerups should I choose?

The sizes of Glerups correspond fairly well to regular European shoe sizes. Glerups themselves recommend rounding up if you have a half size. For example, if you are a size 40.5, then according to that advice, you should choose size 41.

However, we would like to add something to this based on our experience in the store. Glerups should not be unnecessarily large. The wool felt shapes itself to your foot during wear and can therefore become slightly roomier. When your foot is constantly sliding in a slipper that is too big, extra friction is created, which can lead to faster wear and tear.

Are you hesitating between two sizes? Then measure your foot and use the size chart below. If you have wide feet, a size with a little more room can, of course, be more comfortable.

Which Glerups sizes does Natur-el carry?

Our regular Glerups collection normally runs from size 37 through 45. Do you need a different size? Then we can see if we can order it specially for you.

Please note: a size outside our regular stock that is ordered specifically for you cannot be exchanged. Therefore, measure your foot carefully or contact us beforehand if you are in doubt.

Should you wear Glerups with socks?

Not at all. In fact, many people find Glerups incredibly comfortable with bare feet. Wool can absorb moisture and breathe, making it feel very different on your feet than a synthetic lining.

Are you someone who still has cold toes even with the heating on? Then you are, of course, allowed to wear a pair of wool socks. No one is going to call the Glerups police on you.

Will Glerups shed lint when new?

That is possible. Especially at the beginning, some loose wool fibers and lint can occur. That is part of natural wool felt and will decrease on its own the longer you wear the Glerups.

It is better not to fanatically pull loose wool fibers out of the felt. Just enjoy wearing them and give the material time to shape itself to your foot.

How do you maintain Glerups wool slippers?

The great thing about wool: you don't have to wash it constantly. With normal use, airing them out well is usually enough. Place your Glerups in a dry, well-ventilated spot from time to time.

Have they become truly dirty? Then treat the wool felt carefully according to Glerups' care instructions and keep the rubber sole in mind. In any case, do not mindlessly throw them in with the regular wash.

Was wol altijd voorzichtig koud of op maximaal 30 graden, ALTIJD met een wolwasprogramma. Wol krimpt bij temperatuurswisselingen, deze heb je niet bij een wolwasprogramma. Let op, wolwas programma is en essentie anders dan het handwasprogramma!

Gebruik wolwasmiddel

Kies altijd een mild wolwasmiddel en vermijd gewone wasmiddelen, omdat die de wolvezel kunnen beschadigen.

Niet wringen of slepen

Behandel wol rustig, laat het niet zwaar uithangen als het nat is. Wring de wol nooit uit. Druk het water er voorzichtig uit en laat het kledingstuk plat drogen op een handdoek.

Luchten is het beste!

In principe volstaat luchten ook. Was alleen als het echt nodig is!
