What makes the Glerups bootie with Honey rubber sole so great?
To start with: wool. Glerups makes the upper from 100% natural wool felt. Wool retains heat when it's cold, but at the same time, it can breathe and absorb moisture. And that is exactly why a wool slipper feels so different from those synthetic "sweaty-foot" slippers.
With this model, the wool felt also extends above the ankle. Especially if you have cold feet easily or walk on a cold floor at home, such a bootie is wonderful.

What is a Honey sole at Glerups?
By Honey, Glerups refers to the warm, natural color of the rubber sole. This sole gives the wool bootie a nice Scandinavian look, but above all, it is incredibly practical.
Rubber provides more grip than the leather Glerups sole and handles a slightly damp surface better. So, do you need to quickly head to the mailbox, the shed, or the trash can? With this version, you don't have to put on other shoes first.
And also important if you have beautiful floors: the Honey rubber sole is non-marking.
Can you go outside with the rubber-soled Glerups?
Yes, but with a small caveat. Glerups remain house shoes and are not made for walking miles outside. However, the rubber sole does make this model suitable for short trips outside and it handles damp surfaces just fine.
Do you mainly want to wear your Glerups indoors and is a flexible sole the most important thing to you? Then take a look at our models with leather soles. Do you want a bit more grip and the ability to go outside occasionally? Then I would go for rubber.
Which Glerups size should I choose?
Glerups run fairly true to standard European shoe sizes. In most cases, you can therefore simply choose your normal shoe size.
For example, if you are a size 40.5, we recommend size 41. For wider feet, a size larger can also be more comfortable. Keep in mind that the wool felt will mold slightly to your foot as you wear it.

Which Glerups sizes does Natur-el have in stock?
We normally have Glerups in stock from size 37 to 45. Do you need size 35 or 36, or are you looking for another size that is not among the available variants? Then we can see if we can order it specially for you.
Please note: a size that we order especially for you and that falls outside our regular stock cannot be exchanged or returned. Therefore, measure your feet carefully and contact us in advance if in doubt. We would rather help you choose the right size first.
Can you wear Glerups without socks?
Yes! And actually, we think that’s perhaps the best way. Wool can absorb moisture and helps regulate the temperature around your feet. As a result, you can perfectly well wear these wool slippers directly on your bare feet.
But are you the type who is already on the couch in October with three blankets, a hot water bottle, and thick wool socks? By all means, wear those socks inside them. You can do that too.
Do Glerups wool slippers shed?
In the beginning, some loose wool fibers may come off your Glerups. Don't panic and definitely don't think that there is something wrong with your new slippers. That is part of the natural wool felt and will decrease automatically as you wear them.
How do you clean Glerups?
Fortunately, you don't have to wash wool nearly as often as many other materials. In fact, with Glerups, airing them out is usually much smarter than washing. Let them air out properly on a regular basis in a dry, ventilated place.
Have your Glerups become truly dirty? Then follow Glerups' maintenance instructions and treat the wool felt carefully. Whatever you do, don't just thoughtlessly throw them in your regular washing machine. Wool stays beautiful if you are a little kind to it.
What is the difference between Glerups with a rubber sole and a leather sole?
The rubber sole is sturdier, provides more grip, and is more practical if you want to go outside for a short distance occasionally. The leather sole is more flexible and gives more of that classic, soft slipper feel indoors.
And yes, of course we have both. We even have the rubber sole in both Honey and Black. Because if we once decide to sell Glerups, we apparently can't do it just halfway.
