Warm feet are incredibly important for feeling comfortable and cozy.

Anyone who has ever had cold feet in bed knows that it is very difficult to fall asleep. If your feet are warm, the rest of your body often is too! With warm feet, you are much better able to keep yourself going. Our pure wool socks are warm and soft. The pure wool acts like a warm, enveloping layer around your body, which reduces heat loss and helps regulate your temperature. This saves buckets of lost energy. You will notice that you sleep better and feel much less fatigued.

So if you are between two sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller size. For example: do you wear size 39/40? Then choose size 38/39. Do you wear size 40/42, then choose 40/41. Wool socks often get slightly wider when worn. It is annoying if wool socks bunch up because they are too loose. If in doubt, you are always welcome to contact us. The cuffs of the pure wool socks contain tiny elastic threads, so you don't have to worry about the socks sliding down. The elastic does not touch the skin. The socks are not skin-tight: so if you suffer from "thick" ankles, you don't have to worry about the socks pinching.

You don't have to wash pure, 100% wool socks.

Wool has the fantastic property of being self-cleaning,
so just hang them out overnight, and you can wear them again the next day! Do you want to know how this works exactly? We made a nice and informative vlog explaining this. You can find it here. If you still want to wash them? ALWAYS do so on a wool wash cycle with a wool detergent that contains lanolin. Wool shrinks due to temperature fluctuations, not heat. A wool wash cycle maintains the same temperature throughout, which makes the chance of shrinkage very small. Use a wool wash at a low temperature and the lowest possible spin speed.

Pure wool socks wear out!

Yours will too: There is absolutely nothing you can do about that... And it can happen sooner than you think. The fact that pure wool socks wear out is because our socks, unlike 99% of all other "wool socks" sold, really contain no synthetic yarns. This makes the wool a lot more vulnerable to wear and tear. We therefore recommend that you rotate your socks regularly and purchase multiple pairs. Always wear them in well-fitting shoes where your feet don't "slide." That accelerates the wear process significantly. Some people experience this after just a few days, while others can go through winters with them. Fortunately, wool socks are easy to darn; in our webshop, you will find darning wool, darning needles, darning eggs, and darning mushrooms. Check your socks after every wear to see if they have become thin. Typical spots are at the toes, under the ball of the foot, or at the heels. Do this in time so that the pure wool socks do not start to unravel.
