Anyone who has ever had cold feet in bed knows that it is very difficult to fall asleep. If your feet are warm, the rest of your body often is too! With warm feet, you keep yourself standing much better. Our pure wool socks are warm and soft. The pure wool acts, as it were, like a warm, enveloping layer around your body, which reduces heat loss and regulates heat. This saves a massive amount of wasted energy. You will notice that you sleep better and feel much less tired.

So if you are doubting between 2 sizes, we advise you to choose the smaller size. Example: do you wear size 39/40? Then choose size 38/39. Do you wear size 40/42, choose 40/41. Wool socks often get a bit looser when you wear them. It is annoying when wool socks bunch up because they are too large. If in doubt, you are always welcome to contact us. The cuffs of the pure wool socks contain tiny elastic threads, so you don't have to worry about the socks sliding down. The elastic does not touch the skin. The socks are not skin-tight, so if you suffer from "thick" ankles, you don't have to worry about the socks pinching.

You don't need to wash pure 100% wool socks.

Wool has the fantastic quality that it cleans itself,
so hang them out for a night, and you can wear them again the next day! Do you want to know how exactly this works? We made a nice and informative vlog explaining this. You can find it here. Still want to wash them? Then ALWAYS do so on a wool cycle with a wool detergent containing lanolin. Wool shrinks due to temperature fluctuations, not heat. A wool cycle maintains a constant temperature throughout, which makes the chance of shrinkage very small. Wash on a wool cycle at a low temperature and with the lowest possible spin speed.

Pure wool socks wear out!

Yours too: There is absolutely nothing you can do about that... And it can happen faster than you think. The fact that pure wool socks wear out is because our socks, unlike 99% of all other "wool socks" sold, really contain no synthetic yarns. This makes the wool a lot more vulnerable to wear and tear. We therefore recommend that you alternate your socks regularly and purchase multiple pairs. Always wear them in well-fitting shoes in which you do not "slide." That accelerates the wear process significantly. For some, it happens after just a few days, while others can wear them for winters. Fortunately, wool socks are easy to darn; in our webshop, you will find darning wool, darning needles, darning eggs, and darning mushrooms. Check your socks after every wear to see if they have become thin. Typical spots are at the toes, under the ball of your foot, or at the heels. Do this in time so that the pure wool socks do not start to unravel.
