What a beauty, right? The APU KUNTUR wool scarf LUNA is one of those pieces you want to wrap yourself in immediately and then prefer to keep on all day long. Not just because it looks so beautiful, but mainly because 100% baby alpaca feels ridiculously soft.

Colorful, yet surprisingly easy to combine
The LUNA scarf is full of different colors and patterns. That might sound like you need a styling course to wear it, but the exact opposite is true. Because so many shades are reflected in the knit, it pairs with almost any winter coat.
Wear it with dark green, camel, navy blue, gray, or black, and the scarf provides that perfect pop of color. LUNA also works surprisingly well with a more bold or striking coat. And if someone thinks it's too much color, they clearly have a different approach to winter than we do.
The scarf is approximately 25 cm wide and 165 cm long. This makes it easy to wrap around your neck without it becoming overly thick or heavy. You can wear it loose, wrap it once, or tie it at the front.
What makes baby alpaca so special?
Baby alpaca belongs to the finest and most luxurious alpaca fibers. The name refers primarily to the fineness of the fiber and does not automatically mean the wool comes exclusively from young alpacas.
The fibers are smooth, light, and exceptionally soft. They retain body heat well while remaining breathable. As a result, this alpaca scarf feels wonderfully warm without becoming heavy or stifling around your neck.
Alpaca wool is naturally lanolin-free and is often experienced as comfortable by people who find regular wool itchy. Every skin reacts differently, so we won't promise that absolutely no one will feel anything. But this really is the kind of scarf you need to pet to understand just how soft it is.
The LUNA collection by APU KUNTUR
The LUNA line consists of various warm accessories featuring the same recognizable jacquard knit and color palette. In addition to this wool scarf, we also carry LUNA hats, wrist warmers, ear warmers, and leg warmers.
These accessories are designed to be combined with one another. For example, choose the scarf with a matching lined LUNA beanie or pair it with the reversible LUNA hat. The wrist warmers are also lovely if you suffer from cold hands but want to keep your fingers free.
Of course, you don't have to get the whole set at once. Though we’d like to warn you: once you’ve felt a single baby alpaca item, resisting the rest becomes a lot more complicated.
Fair craftsmanship from Peru
APU KUNTUR has the LUNA accessories made in Peru, where there is a long tradition of working with alpaca and refined knitting techniques. The collection is produced with attention to fair working conditions, the makers, and local craftsmanship.
You can see this in the detailed jacquard pattern, the harmonious colors, and the beautiful finish. Thanks to the high-quality natural fibers and timeless quality, LUNA is not a one-season scarf, but one you will bring out again every winter.
How to care for a baby alpaca scarf?
Washing? Preferably as little as possible. Alpaca hardly absorbs odors and usually refreshes itself when you let the scarf air out. Hang it, for example, by an open window or outside on a dry day.
Does the LUNA need to be washed? Use cold water or a maximum of 30 degrees and a small amount of special detergent for alpaca, such as Washpaca. Avoid detergents with added lanolin, as alpaca is naturally free of it.
Wash the scarf gently by hand or use only a wool cycle if the care label allows it. Do not wring, do not tumble dry, and do not hang while dripping wet. Gently press the water out of the scarf, reshape it, and let it dry flat.
