The ear warmers are made of 100% baby alpaca and feel light, supple, and exceptionally soft. The colorful LUNA pattern combines warm shades of red, green, ocher, pink, and blue. Plenty of color to give a gray winter day a solid kick in the pants.

Warm ears without a hat
Cold ears are terrible. We could make a complicated story out of that, but we don't see any reason to. These wool ear warmers cover exactly what needs to stay warm, while leaving the crown of your head and hair free.
The headband is shaped at the sides so that it fits nicely over your ears. This provides more protection than a standard straight headband. The band is approximately 8 cm wide and fits snugly around the head.
Great for walking, cycling, shopping, or walking the dog. It’s also handy if you like to wear a ponytail, bun, or braid. No stuffing hair under a hat, and you won't need to perform CPR on your hairstyle afterward.

What makes baby alpaca so special?
Baby alpaca is among the finest and softest alpaca fibers. The name refers to the fineness of the fiber and does not automatically mean that the wool comes exclusively from the first shearing or from young alpacas.
The fibers are smooth, light, and temperature-regulating. They retain body heat well while remaining breathable. This makes the LUNA ear warmers feel cozy without feeling heavy or stuffy around your head.
Alpaca wool naturally contains no lanolin and is often considered pleasant by people who find regular wool itchy or are sensitive to wool grease. Every skin reacts differently, of course, so we can never promise that no one will feel anything at all. However, baby alpaca is one of the softest natural fibers in our collection.

How to wear the LUNA ear warmers?
Place the headband around your head and make sure the wider, shaped sections fully cover your ears. The band should be snug but not uncomfortably tight.
The LUNA ear warmers are one size. The knit is supple and conforms to the head. Because the fit also depends on the shape and size of your head, you are always welcome to come and try them on in our store if you are in doubt.
How to care for baby alpaca ear warmers?
Washing is almost never necessary. After wearing, hang the ear warmers outside or by an open window and let them air out. Alpaca hardly absorbs any odors, so it freshens up easily on its own.
Do they still need to be washed? Use cold water or a maximum of 30 degrees and a small amount of special detergent for alpaca, such as Washpaca. Avoid using detergents with added lanolin, as alpaca naturally contains no lanolin.
Wash carefully by hand or use only a wool wash cycle if the care label allows it. Do not wring, do not tumble dry, and do not hang to dry when wet. Gently press the water out of the ear warmers, reshape them, and let them dry flat.

Are the ear warmers warm enough in the wind?
The alpaca knit retains heat well and provides protection against cold wind. It is not a technical windproof material, but for everyday use, your ears will feel noticeably warmer and more sheltered.
Are the LUNA ear warmers itchy?
Baby alpaca is exceptionally fine and smooth and is usually experienced as very soft. Because every skin reacts differently, we cannot guarantee that no one will feel anything at all.
Are the ear warmers unisex?
