The LANGERCHEN MILPORT PLATINUM is a long wool women's coat in a heathered grey shade with a subtle grey-green undertone. A technical coat made of wool and organic cotton

The exterior of MILPORT is made of organic wool. Wool retains heat, breathes, and can absorb moisture without feeling clammy. The interior is lined with soft jersey made from 100% organic cotton.

Between these two natural layers sits a thin polyurethane membrane. This blocks cold wind, provides protection against rain, and adds extra sturdiness to the wool fabric without making the coat stiff. As a result, MILPORT retains its shape better even with frequent wear and cycling.

While polyurethane is a synthetic material and not biodegradable, LangerChen uses it very specifically as a functional interlayer. Its sustainable value lies in the combination of organic materials, sturdy construction, and a timeless design intended to be worn for years.

Water-repellent, but not a raincoat

MILPORT can easily handle a regular rain shower. The wool, water-repellent finish, and membrane work together to keep raindrops out.

However, the seams are not taped. During prolonged or very heavy rain, moisture may eventually penetrate through the stitching. Therefore, it is a wool winter coat that handles changeable weather well, but it is not a fully waterproof raincoat.

Also practical on the bike

The YKK zipper can be opened not only from top to bottom but also from the bottom up. This gives your legs more freedom of movement while cycling, while the top part of the coat remains closed.

The hood and high-closing collar protect your head and neck against wind and light rain. Inset slit pockets, a sealable inner pocket, and underarm ventilation eyelets make MILPORT practical without disrupting its calm design.

How to care for your MILPORT PLATINUM

Wash the coat as little as possible and let it air out regularly. Dry dirt can be carefully removed with a soft clothes brush. Treat small stains locally with a clean, slightly damp cloth.

Has the coat gotten wet? Hang it on a wide hanger and let it dry slowly at room temperature. For a full cleaning, always follow the care label and do not use fabric softener, bleach, or aggressive stain removers.
