ERIBÉ Alpine wool sweater with Fair Isle pattern in merino and angora
Oh la la! The Fair Isle pattern sweaters from ERIBÉ Knitwear are back in stock! And man, are they beautiful. These knitted gems are made from super-soft merino wool with a little bit of angora in the pattern — giving them that luxurious, fluffy look you won't find anywhere else.
Now I hear you thinking: angora, is that animal-friendly? Good question. Because with cheap brands, that's often a no-go. But ERIBÉ does things differently. The angora comes from Italy and is harvested by brushing the rabbits during the molting season. No animal cruelty, just that silky-soft luxury.
The THISTLE is one of the most special color combinations from the ALPINE collection. Soft blue tones alternate with fresh green and natural cream — a combination that feels botanical, fresh, and warm all at once. As the name suggests: think of Scottish thistles on a heathland. The THISTLE combines beautifully with dark blue, olive green, ecru, grey, denim, and soft pink. Wear it over a cream blouse or dark blue trousers for a fresh, natural look.
Fan of cardigans? Or team sweater?
For the sweater-lovers, we have good news: this ALPINE sweater is slightly looser than the cardigan and just as stunning. In stock in multiple colors! And yes, of course, we have a handy size chart ready for you, so you know exactly which size you need.
The Fair Isle patterns from ERIBÉ are truly iconic. Colorful, cheerful, warm, and yet stylish. This is the kind of sweater you pull on on a grey autumn day, and it immediately lifts your spirits. Over jeans, with corduroy trousers, with wide-leg pants, or just relaxing at home with warm socks: this sweater does it all.
How to care for your wool ERIBÉ sweater?
Do not wash too often. Really not necessary. Airing it outside or hanging it in the bathroom works wonders. Wool is naturally self-cleaning and actually stays nicer if you don't wash it too often.
Is it necessary anyway? Then choose a cold wool wash cycle, use a detergent with lanolin such as Lanalicious wool detergent, and let your sweater dry flat. Do not hang it up when it's wet, as it can lose its shape. And really: do not tumble dry. Ever. Wool hates that.
Also, watch the video with all my washing tips. And read our laundry guide, which you receive with every purchase, carefully. It contains exactly those small things that keep your wool clothing looking beautiful for much longer.
Wool and pilling – no stress!
A little pilling is normal with soft wool. Especially with such a fine merino-angora blend. Use a good fabric shaver like the Gleener fabric shaver and, above all, do not pull at the pills. This way, you keep your sweater in top condition.
Sustainable & fair
ERIBÉ designs in Scotland and is known for colorful knitwear with a modern twist on traditional Fair Isle knitting. These are not anonymous sweaters you get tired of after one season. These are wearable pieces of art. Warm, special, and made to be loved for years.
And that is exactly why we are so happy that ERIBÉ is back in stock. It is cheerful, sustainable, high-quality, and so unique. Truly a brand where you think: yes, this fits at Natur-el.
Do not buy if...
Are you looking for a smooth, thin basic sweater without a print? Then this ERIBÉ ALPINE is probably not your model.
But are you looking for a soft, warm wool sweater with color, character, and a beautiful Fair Isle pattern? Then this is one that will make you happy for years to come.
Frequently asked questions about the ERIBÉ ALPINE sweater
How does the ERIBÉ ALPINE sweater fit?
The sweater fits slightly looser than the ALPINE cardigan. Check the size chart to be sure, especially if you are between two sizes.
What material is the sweater made of?
The sweater is made of soft merino wool with a little bit of angora in the pattern. That provides that warm, soft, and slightly fluffy look.
Is the angora animal-friendly?
Yes, ERIBÉ works with angora from Italy. The angora is harvested by brushing rabbits during the molting season. So no animal cruelty, just that beautiful, soft luxury.
Does this sweater itch?
Merino wool is much finer and softer than regular wool. Because of the touch of angora, the sweater feels extra soft. If you are very sensitive to wool, trying it on is naturally best.
How do I wash this wool sweater?
Wash it as little as possible. Airing it out is often enough. If washing is necessary: use a cold wool wash cycle, a little bit of Lanalicious wool detergent, and let the sweater dry flat.
Can the sweater go in the dryer?
No, preferably not. Wool can shrink and felt in the dryer. Always let the sweater dry flat.
What should I do about pills?
Use the Gleener fabric shaver carefully. A little pilling is part of soft wool and is easy to maintain.
