All about this product

ERIBÉ Alpine wool sweater with Fair Isle pattern in merino and angora

Oh my! The Fair Isle pattern sweaters from ERIBÉ Knitwear are back in stock! And man, are they beautiful. These knitted gems are made from super-soft merino wool with a hint of angora in the pattern — which gives them that luxurious, fluffy look you won't find anywhere else.

Now I hear you thinking: angora, is that animal-friendly? Good question. Because with cheap brands, that's often a no-go. But ERIBÉ does things differently. The angora comes from Italy and is obtained by brushing the rabbits during the molting season. No animal cruelty, just that silky-soft luxury.

AMELIA is the color for those who dare. Warm orange and rust-brown tones alternate with deep blue and cream — a combination that stands out immediately without being loud. It has something autumnal, something Scottish, something of walking outside with red cheeks and a cup of tea. AMELIA pairs beautifully with denim, dark blue, ecru, camel, brown, and charcoal. Wear it over a white blouse for a fresh look, or over a dark turtleneck for maximum warmth and depth.

Vera's tip: AMELIA is my personal favorite this season. That combination of orange and blue is so unexpectedly beautiful — and even better in person than in the photo. Feel free to come and try it on!

Fan of cardigans? Or more of a sweater person?

For the sweater lovers, we have good news: this ALPINE sweater has a slightly looser fit than the cardigan and is just as gorgeous. In stock in multiple colors! And yes, of course we have a handy size chart ready for you, so you know exactly which size you need.

The Fair Isle patterns from ERIBÉ are truly iconic. Colorful, cheerful, warm, and yet stylish. This is one of those sweaters you put on on a grey autumn day, and it instantly makes you feel a bit better. Over jeans, with corduroy trousers, with wide-leg pants, or just relaxing at home with warm socks: this sweater does it all.

How to care for your woolen ERIBÉ sweater?

Don't wash it too often. It’s really not necessary. Simply airing it outside or hanging it in the bathroom works wonders. Wool is naturally self-cleaning and stays looking better if you don't wash it too frequently.

Do you still need to wash it? Then choose a cold wool wash cycle, use a detergent containing lanolin like Lanalicious wool detergent, and lay your sweater flat to dry. Do not hang it when wet, as it may lose its shape. And really: do not tumble dry. Ever. Wool hates that.

Also, watch the video with all my laundry tips. And read our care guide, which you receive with every purchase, carefully. It contains exactly those little things that help your wool clothing stay beautiful for much longer.

Wool and pilling – no stress!

A little bit of pilling is normal with soft wool. Especially with such a fine merino-angora blend. Use a good fabric shaver like the Gleener fabric shaver and please do not pull at the pills. This will keep your sweater in top condition.

Sustainable & fair

ERIBÉ designs in Scotland and is known for colorful knitwear with a modern twist on traditional Fair Isle knitting. These are not anonymous sweaters that you'll be tired of after one season. These are wearable pieces of art. Warm, special, and made to be loved for years to come.

And that is exactly why we are so happy that ERIBÉ is back. It's cheerful, sustainable, high-quality, and so unique. Truly the kind of brand where you think: yes, this fits at Natur-el.

Don't buy if...

Are you looking for a smooth, thin basic sweater without a print? Then this ERIBÉ ALPINE is probably not for you.

But are you looking for a soft, warm woolen sweater with color, character, and a beautiful Fair Isle pattern? Then this is one you will enjoy for years to come.

Frequently asked questions about the ERIBÉ ALPINE sweater

How does the ERIBÉ ALPINE sweater fit?

The sweater has a slightly looser fit than the ALPINE cardigan. To be sure, check the size chart, especially if you are between two sizes.

What material is the sweater made of?

The sweater is made of soft merino wool with a little bit of angora in the pattern. This ensures that warm, soft, and slightly fluffy look.

Is the angora animal-friendly?

Yes, ERIBÉ works with angora from Italy. The angora is obtained by brushing the rabbits during the molting season. So no animal cruelty, just that beautiful soft luxury.

Does this sweater itch?

Merino wool is much finer and softer than regular wool. Because of the touch of angora, the sweater feels extra soft. If you are very sensitive to wool, trying it on is always the best option.

How do I wash this woolen sweater?

Wash it as little as possible. Airing it out is often enough. If washing is necessary: use a cold wool wash cycle, a little Lanalicious wool detergent, and lay the sweater flat to dry.

Can the sweater go in the dryer?

No, preferably not. Wool can shrink and felt in the dryer. Always let the sweater dry flat.

What can I do about pills?

Carefully use the Gleener fabric shaver. A little bit of pilling is part of soft wool and is easy to maintain.

Wol is fantastisch

And just like that, you were gone!

Was koud of lauw
