ERIBE wool SWEATER with angora Alpine
ERIBE KNITWEAR sweater ALPINE made of pure merino wool with angora
Oh la la! The fairisle pattern sweaters from Eribe Knitwear are back in stock! And MAN, are they beautiful! These wool sweaters are made of 100% merino wool, with a little bit of angora incorporated into the fairisle pattern, which gives it a tremendously luxurious and fluffy look! Now I hear you thinking: ANGORA? Isn't that cruel? Yes, if you have cheap angora, it is; they have no regard for the animal suffering associated with sourcing angora. But Eribe wouldn't dare touch that, because they would be out of business in an instant. The angora that Eribe uses is EXCLUSIVELY ethically sourced: and yes, that actually exists. You can simply brush angora rabbits and use this amazingly luxurious yarn that way. The supplier of our angora wool is from Italy, and they harvest the wool using old traditional methods. They brush the angora rabbit during the molting season.
THIS WOOL SWEATER FROM ERIBE is therefore fan-tas-tic!
and that is exactly why we have it in stock in several colors, because not everyone is fond of cardigans: and we prefer to make you all happy with all these beautiful items from Eribe.
The sweaters in the ALPINE line fit slightly looser compared to the cardigans in the alpine line. That is why we have created a handy size chart, so that you can make the perfect choice for your Eribe sweater or cardigan.
How do you wash a pure wool cardigan or sweater?
Our advice is not to wash the cardigans, or to wash them as little as possible. Actually, hanging out your wool cardigan is enough. You can hang it outside, in a window, or in the bathroom for a night. Wool has a self-cleaning property, so the chance that your wool will start to smell is very small! Do you want to wash it anyway? Wash your wool cardigans or sweaters on a wool wash cycle with a wool detergent that contains lanolin. This is very important, because your wool likes to be well cared for. We made an extensive video about washing your wool underwear.
Like our fantastic wool and silk detergent LANALICIOUS! This detergent, which takes care of your laundry down to the last detail and keeps your wool clothing in top condition, can be found here!
My wool sweater is pilling, what can I do?
It is possible that the wool will pill a little. This is completely normal and is a characteristic of the fabric. You can remove these with a fabric shaver. Do this carefully and test on an inconspicuous area first. You can also find fabric shavers in our webshop. Never "pick" at your wool. You only make it worse, because you pull the wool fibers loose again. This ensures that the pilling does not stop.
