How does the MADNESS VONNE turtleneck fit?
The VONNE has a nice regular fit: not oversized, but also not so tight that it fits like an undershirt. In the photos, I am wearing a size 40. You can see that the sweater falls nicely along the body, with enough room to move.
If you would like to wear it as shown in the photos, we would generally recommend your normal size.
How does the neck of the VONNE feel?
The VONNE has a classic, folded-over turtleneck that fits nicely around the neck. Not a huge, thick roll, but rather a refined collar that goes well with the fine knit of the rest of the sweater.
That also makes it very easy to wear under other layers. A collar that becomes three times the size of your head under your coat might be nice and warm, but it isn't always very practical. This one stays nice and subtle.
Why a sweater made of wool AND cotton?
We find this combination especially nice for an everyday sweater. Wool is naturally temperature-regulating and breathable, and it helps keep your body warm when it is cold. At the same time, the organic cotton gives the sweater a smoother and more accessible feel.
This makes the VONNE a great option if you like to wear wool, but aren't necessarily looking for a thick or very woolly sweater.
How do you style the MADNESS VONNE?
Very easily. With a pair of jeans, you’re already set, but because of its understated style, you can take it in many directions. Wear it under a wool cardigan or jacket, pair it with trousers for a smarter outfit, or tuck it partially into a skirt.
Balsam Green is a beautiful muted green that combines nicely with denim, dark blue, black, sand, and natural tones. Dark blue is, of course, a color you hardly have to think about: it truly goes with everything.
How do you wash a wool turtleneck with organic cotton?
Not too often! Wool has natural properties that mean you need to wash a wool sweater much less often than many people think. Hang the VONNE out to air after wearing it and only wash it when it is truly necessary.
Does it need to be washed? Always follow the care label, choose a suitable wool wash program, and use a special wool detergent, such as our Lanalicious wool detergent with lanolin. Do not wring and do not tumble dry; let the sweater dry flat and in shape.

Pilling can always occur with wool clothing, especially in areas where there is a lot of friction. This does not automatically say anything about the quality of a sweater; it is characteristic of natural fibers.
Do some fluff or pills appear over time? You can carefully remove them with our Gleener fabric shaver to keep the surface of your sweater looking well-cared-for.
