These Hirsch Natur socks are made of 100% pure, organic virgin wool. No synthetic fibers, no clever tricks, just wool as nature intended. That makes them wonderfully warm, breathable, and comfortable. Your feet stay warm without getting clammy, and you feel that immediately.

The Norwegian ice crystal pattern gives these socks character. They are not only functional, but also simply beautiful. Available in several colors, so you can choose what suits you best.

Fit & sizing advice (important!)

Hirsch Natur wool socks run large. They fit like the smallest size on the label. Are you between two sizes? Then always choose the smaller size. If you normally wear size 39 or 40, for example, we recommend size 38/39. A good fit is essential to minimize wear and keep comfort high.

You don't have to wash wool socks

Yes, really. Wool is self-cleaning. It is often enough to let your socks air out for a night after wearing them. Hang them up and you can just wear them again the next day.

An honest story about wear and tear

These socks are made of 100% wool. That means maximum comfort, but also: wool wears out faster than socks with synthetic fibers. Especially if you wear them as house socks without shoes or slippers. So, always wear them with slippers or well-fitting shoes.

Unfortunately, holes cannot be completely avoided. It happens faster for some than for others. That depends on how you walk, how often you wear them, and whether they fit well. Do you see the fabric thinning? That is the moment to darn them. With darning wool, that is not difficult at all and actually quite fun to do.

Also note: wool socks can be slippery. So be careful on stairs.

Washing, if it really must be done

Do they really need to be washed? Wash as infrequently as possible and always with a wool detergent containing lanolin, such as Lanalicious. Lanolin nourishes the wool and helps keep the fibers supple and strong.

Wash on a wool cycle, use little detergent, do not overfill the machine, and let the socks dry flat.

We do not provide a warranty on the wear and tear of wool socks. What we do: with every order, you receive a booklet with extensive maintenance advice. And we know from experience that alternating between several pairs extends their lifespan significantly. So, you don't need just one, but actually several pairs of wool socks.
