GRODO thin wool socks plain BLACK
Grodo thin wool socks plain
We often hear people say: "Thick wool socks don't fit in my shoes!" Well, these definitely do. Grödo's socks are wonderfully thin and yet made entirely from organic wool, KBT-certified! The thickness of these wool socks reminds us of thin cotton socks that you might like to wear in your dress shoes, for example. The great advantage of pure wool socks is that they are nice and cozy, and unlike their synthetic or cotton counterparts, they won't give you sweaty feet. We have these Grodo socks in 5 beautiful colors. These plain wool socks are the perfect basic socks. The socks are what is known as "hand-linked," meaning they have no seams. If you are sensitive to seams, you are in luck with these socks. Did you see that we also have thin wool socks from Hirsch Natur? These are available in various colors and patterns.
Note! Wool socks are tempting to wear around the house, which is no problem at all, but always wear them with shoes or slippers. If you wear 100% wool socks as house socks, they will wear out quickly and holes will appear. These are easy to "darn," by the way. You can find instructions for this on YouTube. Also, wool socks are slippery: be careful when walking on stairs. Unfortunately, holes cannot be completely prevented. Over time, 100% wool socks will wear out. You are no exception to this. You, too, will get holes in your wool socks. This wear and tear happens faster for some than for others: also keep in mind that thin socks wear out faster than thick ones. Some people get holes in their wool socks within a few days. I can wear my own wool socks for entire winters. We wrote a blog about how exactly you can slow this process down. Read the blog here. In addition, it is important not to choose wool socks that are too big or too small. Properly fitting footwear is also important to extend the life of your socks: the more friction, the faster your socks will wear out.
We do not provide a guarantee against wear and tear on your wool socks! Check out our darning wool section as well, and order a bit of darning wool right away.
