GRODO thin wool socks solid brown melange
Grodo thin wool socks solid
We often get the comment: thick wool socks don't fit in my shoes! Well, these really do. The socks from Grödo are wonderfully thin and yet made entirely of organic wool, KBT certified! The thickness of these wool socks reminds us of thin cotton socks that you like to wear in your dress shoes, for example. The great advantage of pure wool socks is that they are nice and cozy, and you won't get sweaty feet from them, unlike their synthetic or cotton counterparts. We have the Grodo socks in 5 beautiful colors. These solid-colored wool socks are the perfect basic socks. The socks are what is known as "hand-linked" and therefore have no seams. If you are sensitive to seams, you are in luck with these socks. Did you see that we also have thin wool socks from Hirsch Natur? These are available in more colors and patterns.
Please note! Wool socks invite you to wear them around the house, which is of course no problem: but always do so in shoes or slippers. If you wear 100% wool socks as house socks, they will wear out quickly and holes will develop. These are, by the way, easy to "darn". You can find instructions for this on YouTube. In addition, wool socks are slippery: be careful when walking on stairs. Unfortunately, holes cannot be completely prevented. Over time, 100% wool socks will wear out. And you are no exception to this. You, too, will get holes in your wool socks. This wear happens faster for some than for others: also keep in mind that thin socks wear out faster than thick ones. Some people get holes in their wool socks within a few days. I can wear my own wool socks for entire winters. We wrote a blog about how exactly you can slow this down. Read the blog here. Furthermore, it is important that wool socks are not chosen too large or too small. Well-fitting footwear is also important to extend the lifespan of your socks: the more friction, the faster your socks will wear out.
We do not provide a guarantee against wear and tear on your wool socks! Also check out our darning wool section, and order a bit of darning wool right away.
