GIVN high waist trousers BEA BLUE in organic cotton flannel

Ooh, what a discovery these GIVN trousers are! Seriously: in my entire sustainable fashion career, I have never worn trousers this soft. The GIVN BEA BLUE is made from 100% organic cotton flannel and is GOTS-certified. The fabric is brushed, making it feel almost like soft fleece – but with a lot more style.

BLUE is a deep dark blue color that you can truly wear with everything. Nice and calm with gray, black, or neutrals, but just as fun with an eye-catching color on top. We have BEA in three colors: BLUE, BROWN and ANTHRACITE.

The fit is great: a nice high waist with an elasticated section at the back of the waistband. This ensures the trousers fit well without feeling tight anywhere. I wear a size L myself with a dress size 40, and it fits like a glove.

The fabric gives a little while wearing it. After washing, it pulls back to its original fit. So that doesn't mean you suddenly chose the wrong size; BEA just moved with you for a day.

How to style BEA BLUE

  • Edgy with a tucked-in blouse or shirt
  • Chic with a fitted turtleneck and heeled ankle boots
  • Casual with a chunky wool sweater and sneakers
  • Fresh with lime green, pink, or another bright color

Fit and size chart

BEA sits high at the waist and has wide legs. Thanks to the elasticated section at the back, the waist fits comfortably. The sizes below are measured with the trousers laid flat. The waist width and hem width are therefore half-circumferences.

Are you between two sizes? Compare the waist width with a pair of well-fitting trousers that you lay flat. Keep in mind that BEA will become slightly roomier while wearing.

Washing instructions for cotton flannel

Wash the trousers inside out at a maximum of 30 degrees with a gentle detergent and do not tumble dry. The fabric may look a bit flatter after washing. Use the Gleener fabric shaver to make it soft and fluffy again in no time.

Biologisch katoen is bijzonder

En dit is waarom:

Biologisch katoen is een van de zachtste en meest huidvriendelijke materialen die er zijn. Het ademt goed, voelt vertrouwd aan en is makkelijk te wassen. Doordat het geteeld wordt zonder synthetische pesticiden of kunstmest, is het ook eerlijker voor de bodem en voor de mensen die het verbouwen. Biologisch katoen bevat minder chemische resten dan gewoon katoen, wat het extra fijn maakt voor mensen met een gevoelige huid — en zeker voor baby's en kinderen. Het is een materiaal dat je gewoon goed voelt: op je huid, en in je hoofd.

Wassen op lage temperatuur

Was biologisch katoen op maximaal 30 of 40 graden in de machine. Gebruik een fijnwasprogramma voor een langere levensduur.

Wasmiddel

Gebruik een mild, bij voorkeur biologisch wasmiddel. Vermijd bleekmiddel, dat tast de vezels aan.

Drogen

Haal je kleding DIRECT uit de wasmachine om wasstrepen te voorkomen. Laat het kledingstuk bij voorkeur aan de lucht drogen. Vermijd drogen in de droger, dat doet meer slecht dan goed voor je textielvezel.

Extra verzorging

Katoen is makkelijk te strijken op een middelhoge temperatuur. Was niet vaker dan nodig, luchten is vaak genoeg!
