This is one of those pieces where our professional purchasing discipline completely lost out to love at the trade fair. A checkered tweed skirt might not be at the top of our shopping list every season, but when we saw the FLOMAX JUNA, we simply couldn't leave it behind. And this GREEN version is truly wonderful.
The skirt features a beautiful plaid pattern in which moss green, olive green, petrol, and turquoise are combined with thin lines in red and warm orange. Colorful, but not loud. Classic, but definitely not boring. We have the JUNA in three different color variations and we honestly hope you will be as enthusiastic about them as we are.

A classic plaid with a FLOMAX twist
The JUNA features a colorful variation on the classic glencheck. In such a pattern, various fine and wider lines cross over each other, creating smaller checks and blocks within the large plaid. From a distance, the pattern looks calm; only up close do you discover how many different colors and details are hidden within it.
With JUNA GREEN, the traditional tweed look is refreshed with petrol blue, turquoise, moss green, and bright lines in red and orange. This makes the skirt easy to combine with calm basic colors, but you can also choose to bring back one of the colors from the plaid. This is not a skirt that will live quietly in the back of your closet. It's much too fun for that.
A warm wool pencil skirt
JUNA has a straight pencil skirt model that falls nicely along the body. The sturdy wool tweed fabric gives the skirt structure and allows the plaid pattern to stand out. At the same time, wool remains a natural material that breathes and helps regulate your body temperature.
Wear it with wool tights or Engel leggings when it's cold outside. You can wear almost anything on top: a calm sweater in neutral or navy blue, a green cardigan, or even a top in red or orange. With ankle boots, it becomes classic; with sturdy shoes, a bit more rugged; and with a nice turtleneck, you have a truly great winter outfit without having to think about it too much.
Pure organic wool
The JUNA GREEN is made of pure wool from controlled organic animal husbandry (KBT). KBT wool is subject to requirements regarding animal welfare, feed, and the use of harmful substances.
FLOMAX chooses natural materials and has its clothing produced regionally. The entire production process takes place within a radius of approximately 35 kilometers around Gächingen, in the Swabian Alb. Because of this, FLOMAX can rightly say that the collection is 100% Made in Germany.
Fit and size advice
JUNA is a straight pencil skirt model and therefore fits closer to the hips than an A-line skirt. When choosing your size, please pay close attention to your hip measurement. Are you unsure between two sizes or do you want to know how the skirt fits at the waist and hips? Feel free to contact us or come and try it on in Rotterdam.
Because every body shape is different, photos and size charts don't tell the whole story. Sometimes you just have to put on a skirt, stand in front of the mirror, and see if it's love. In this case, we think the chances are quite high.
How to care for a wool tweed skirt
Fortunately, wool does not need to be washed after every wear. Let the skirt air out regularly and treat a small stain locally and carefully first. This not only saves water and energy, but usually also keeps the wool fabric looking beautiful for longer.
Is a full wash necessary? Always use the wool wash program, a low temperature, and a low spin speed. A regular delicate wash program is not automatically suitable for wool. Also, never use standard color or delicate detergents, as these may contain ingredients that are less friendly to the wool fiber.
We recommend our own LANALICIOUS wool and silk detergent. This wool detergent contains lanolin and helps keep the wool soft, supple, and strong. A small amount is sufficient. After washing, gently shape the skirt and let it dry flat. Do not wring and do not put it in the dryer.
Fuzz or pilling? Grab the Gleener
With pure wool, small fuzz or pills can develop over time due to friction. Think, for example, of places where a coat, bag, or chair constantly rubs against the fabric. This is a normal property of wool and not a sign of poor quality.
With the GLEENER fabric shaver, you can remove these pills gently. The Gleener has different attachments for coarse, medium, and fine fabrics. Lay the skirt flat, choose the appropriate attachment, and work gently without pressing hard on the fabric. The Gleener is well-known here as the Mercedes of fabric shavers for a reason.
By washing the skirt sparingly, using Lanalicious, and occasionally de-pilling it gently, it will stay beautiful for much longer. Because good woolen clothing is meant to be worn for years, not to be discarded after just one season.
