Baby alpaca wool is one of the softest natural fibers in existence. It is warmer than sheep's wool, but much lighter and softer. And importantly: it doesn't itch. Not even if you have sensitive skin.

Alpaca wool is also self-cleaning. Simply airing them out is usually sufficient. There is almost no need to wash them. If you do want to wash them, use a special alpaca detergent and wash carefully.

Sustainable & fairly made

De Colores works with fair-trade certified workshops in Peru, in the Arequipa region. There, the alpaca fiber is processed into yarn and accessories under fair conditions and with respect for people and animals. This way, you wear something beautiful that also has a good story.
