Cold? You probably won't be anymore with this sweater. The SNOWFLAKE BROWN by Natural Style is made of 100% alpaca and is exactly the kind of lovely winter sweater you'll want to hide in all day long. Warm, soft, and airy – but above all: just look at that knit!
The entire sweater features a beautiful embossed pattern reminiscent of tiny snowflakes. Not a print, then, but a true knit-in pattern that gives the sweater structure and depth. The warm brown color makes it subtle and easy to combine, while the unique knit ensures it never becomes boring for a second.

The SNOWFLAKE has a sophisticated embossed pattern across the front, back, and sleeves. The way the yarn is knitted creates small, repeating shapes that look a bit like snowflakes. Hence the name – and honestly, we couldn't have come up with a better one ourselves.
The pattern gives the solid brown sweater much more character. From a distance, it looks subtle and easy to wear, but as you get a little closer, you see how much detail it has. It’s the kind of sweater that makes people want to touch your sleeve. Not that we officially encourage that, but we certainly understand it.
100% alpaca: light, soft, and incredibly warm
Alpaca is a remarkably warm fiber that simultaneously feels relatively light. This gives you the coziness of a true winter sweater without the feeling of having a heavy wool blanket draped over your shoulders.
Alpaca does not naturally contain lanolin. Many people who find regular sheep's wool a bit difficult to wear therefore find alpaca comfortable. Every skin is different, of course, so if you are very sensitive to wool, please come by and try on the sweater.
Fit and sizing advice
The SNOWFLAKE runs relatively large. The style is straight and has plenty of room around the body. In the photos, Vera is wearing a size L. In the photo where the sweater is worn loosely over the pants, you can clearly see its length: it hits about at the hip.
If you want to wear it a bit looser and cozier, choose your usual size. Are you between two sizes or do you prefer a slightly less roomy fit? Then we recommend the smaller size.
You can wear the sweater loose over your pants, but try tucking the front into your jeans, trousers, or skirt. It immediately gives it a more nonchalant, casual look and creates a bit more shape around your waist. You can see directly in the photos how much of a difference a small tuck makes.
The color BROWN
BROWN is a warm, heathered brown shade that sits somewhere between taupe and medium brown. It is a subtle, natural color that pairs beautifully with dark blue, denim, cream, rust, burgundy, and various shades of green.
Is brown not quite your color? The SNOWFLAKE is also available in BLUE: a soft, heathered blue tone in which the unique knit pattern also stands out beautifully.
An important storage tip: always lay knitwear flat
Store this sweater lying flat in the closet and do not hang it on a clothes hanger for long periods. Knitted clothing can stretch under its own weight, especially when the material is as supple as alpaca. The shoulders can deform, and the sweater can become longer and wider.
Fold it neatly, therefore. That might sound less spectacular than hanging it in a perfectly organized wardrobe, but your sweater will stay looking beautiful for much longer. And that is what it’s ultimately about.
How to care for your alpaca sweater
Fortunately, you don't need to wash alpaca often. Let the sweater air out after wearing, for example outside in the shade or in the bathroom. The fibers often refresh themselves surprisingly well.
Is washing necessary after all? Use the wool cycle at a low temperature with a low spin speed. Choose a detergent specifically suitable for wool and silk, such as our LANALICIOUS wool and silk detergent. Use only a small amount and do not let the sweater soak for long periods.
Gently reshape the sweater after washing and let it dry flat. Do not wring out, do not tumble dry, and do not dry on a hanger. Wet alpaca is heavier and can easily stretch as a result.
Pilling in alpaca is normal
A soft alpaca sweater can pill slightly during wear, especially in areas where friction occurs. Think of the armpits, sides, or where your bag rubs against the sweater. That is part of soft natural fibers and does not mean there is anything wrong with the quality.
Use a Gleener fabric shaver to carefully remove the pills. Lay the sweater flat, hold the knit taut, and use the appropriate fine attachment head. Work slowly and don't press hard: this beautiful embossed knit deserves a little love.
