A classic zip-neck sweater with a modern look
The GEER has a high neck with a half zipper. Wear the zipper open for a looser, sporty look or close it further when it is cold outside. You can let the collar fall open nicely, or wear it a bit higher for extra warmth around your neck.
The sweater is fine-knit and has a calm structure. This makes it look neat and it fits easily under a jacket, without feeling like you are wearing three sweaters on top of each other.
The zip-neck collar gives the GEER more character than a standard crew-neck sweater, yet it remains timeless. Open, it looks casual and relaxed; closed, it becomes warmer and smarter. One zipper, a surprising amount of impact. Sometimes clothing doesn’t have to be complicated.
100% merino wool: warm without becoming unnecessarily heavy
Merino wool is loved because it insulates well while also being breathable. The wool helps your body maintain its temperature without the sweater having to be overly thick or heavy. As a result, you can wear the GEER not only in the heart of winter, but also during crisp autumn and spring days.

How does the GEER zip-neck sweater fit?
The GEER has a regular fit: normal and comfortable, without being very baggy or tight. In principle, choose your usual size. Do you want to wear a shirt or long-sleeve comfortably underneath and are you hesitating between two sizes? Then it is best to try the larger size.
The sweater has a neat length and falls around the hip. This makes it easy to combine with jeans, chinos, or smarter trousers. The fit is polished enough for the office, but certainly not so stiff that you want to take it off the moment you get home.
The color INDIGO
INDIGO is a greyish denim-blue color. Lighter and softer than dark navy, but calm enough to be used as a base color. The mélange effect gives the wool more depth and ensures that the color always looks slightly different depending on the light.
This shade of blue combines beautifully with grey, anthracite, beige, sand, brown, rust, and olive green. It also looks great with denim. In that case, choose a clearly lighter or darker pair of jeans so that your outfit doesn't accidentally become one big block of blue. Unless that is exactly what you intended, of course.

How to style the GEER INDIGO
For a casual outfit, wear it with dark jeans and sneakers or sturdy boots. The blue tones can certainly go together, as long as there is some difference in color or texture.
Need something a little smarter? Combine the zip-neck sweater with grey, beige, or brown chinos and a shirt. Let the collar of the shirt subtly emerge from the open zipper and you are ready for the office, a dinner, or an occasion where a hoodie just feels a bit too informal.
The GEER is also easy to wear without a shirt. A thin undershirt or wool vest underneath is often sufficient. The short zipper allows you to decide for yourself how much warmth you want around your neck.
You hardly need to wash a wool sweater
Merino wool has natural self-cleaning properties and absorbs odors less quickly than many other materials. Hang the sweater outside or in a well-ventilated area after wearing it. Airing it out is often sufficient, and it can then be worn again.
Does it need to be washed after all? Close the zipper, turn the sweater inside out, and use the wool program on the washing machine at a low temperature and with the lowest possible spin speed. Do not let wool garments soak, do not wring them out, and never put them in the dryer.
For wool garments, ALWAYS use a special wool detergent with lanolin, such as our own LANALICIOUS wool detergent. That cleans the wool gently and helps keep the fibers supple and well-cared for. A standard detergent can be too aggressive for wool and contain enzymes that damage the protein fibers.
After washing, let the sweater dry flat and gently reshape it. Lay it on a dry towel or drying rack and let it dry slowly at room temperature. Not on the radiator and not on a clothes hanger: wet wool is heavy and can therefore stretch.
Store knits lying flat in your closet
Even when the GEER is dry, it is best to store it folded. A knitted wool sweater can become longer or get bumps at the shoulders due to its own weight when hung on a hanger.
So, just fold it neatly. Perhaps slightly less impressive than a closet where everything hangs perfectly on the same wooden hangers, but much better for your sweater. In this case, we choose preserving shape over closet theater.
And if the sweater starts to pill?
Pilling can occur with wool and does not mean the quality is poor. Due to friction, loose fibers come to the surface and form small balls. This happens especially under the arms and in places where a jacket, bag, or backpack rubs against the sweater.
You can easily remove these fuzzes with a Gleener fabric shaver. Lay the sweater flat, choose the appropriate attachment, and work calmly without pressing hard. Keep the Gleener away from the zipper and be extra careful with the cuffs and seams. Afterward, your zip-neck sweater will look neat and well-cared for again.
