CHOCOLATE: deep dark brown and almost black
CHOCOLATE is a deep chocolate brown color that looks almost black in certain light. Dark, warm, and incredibly easy to pair. It’s the kind of color that is quiet enough to wear as a basic, but looks just a bit softer and warmer than black.
Beautiful with denim, neutrals, olive green, rust, beige, and other brown tones. Or simply wear it head-to-toe in dark brown and pretend you put a lot of thought into it. No one needs to know that the sweater is actually doing all the work.
How does the ROMY wool turtleneck fit?
ROMY has a relaxed fit and runs quite large. I am wearing a size L in the photo, and you can see that the sweater falls loosely around the body and arms.
Are you between two sizes? Then choose the smaller size. If you intentionally want ROMY to be nice and loose or slightly oversized, you can take your usual size.
The sweater offers enough room to wear a shirt or a thin long-sleeve underneath. The hem hits around the hip and features small side slits. This ensures the model drapes beautifully even with a roomier fit, rather than looking like one big wool box. Much nicer.
100% RWS-certified lambswool
ROMY is made of 100% lambswool, with no synthetic fibers. Lambswool is soft, light, and warm. The fibers retain heat but are also breathable and moisture-wicking. This makes the sweater feel cozy without becoming heavy or stuffy.
The wool is RWS-certified. The Responsible Wool Standard sets requirements for animal welfare and responsible land management, tracking the certified wool throughout the production chain.
How to wear ROMY CHOCOLATE
In the photo, I combine ROMY very simply with jeans. The sweater doesn't really need anything else. The high turtleneck, the slightly wider sleeves, and the deep dark brown color give it plenty of character on its own.
For a dressier look, wear it with wide-leg trousers or a long skirt. It also looks beautiful with light-colored pants, which makes the dark chocolate color stand out even more.
How to care for this wool turtleneck
Luckily, you almost never have to wash wool. After wearing, first hang ROMY outside or by an open window for a night. Wool is less prone to absorbing odors and is often fresh enough after a good airing out.
Does the sweater need washing after all? KnowledgeCotton Apparel recommends hand washing. Use cold water and a small amount of Lanalicious wool detergent. Do not rub, wring, or tumble dry. Gently reshape the sweater and let it dry flat.
Preferably store ROMY folded. On a clothes hanger, a wool sweater can stretch at the shoulders or in length.
A little pilling is normal
Even soft lambswool can pill due to friction, especially under the arms or in places where a coat or bag rubs against the sweater. This is a normal characteristic of wool and not a sign of poor quality.
Do not pull the pills off with your fingers. Instead, gently use a Gleener fabric shaver. This removes loose fibers without unnecessarily pulling on the knit.
