That kind of shirt where, after wearing it once, you think: oh yes, I want more of these. MITHILA by RECOLUTION is just such a wonderful basic that seems simple, but falls just a little bit better thanks to its fabric and fit. It is made of 100% LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose: supple, soft, and with that subtle sheen that also makes it very easy to dress up.
We have MITHILA in several colors, including Dark Green and Plum. And believe me: this is typically the kind of style where you can suddenly justify very well why you need the same top in two colors.
What makes the RECOLUTION MITHILA shirt so lovely?
Take a good look at the sleeves, because they make this shirt. MITHILA does not have a standard set-in short sleeve, but a loose dolman cap sleeve. This allows the fabric to drape beautifully over the shoulders, creating that nonchalant, feminine shape you see in the photos.
The fabric is thin, supple, and wonderfully soft. This makes MITHILA lovely on warm days, but at least as useful under a cardigan, jacket, or blazer.

What is ECOVERO™ viscose?
ECOVERO™ is a viscose fiber from LENZING made from wood pulp sourced from responsibly managed forests. You start with wood and end with such a buttery soft, supple fabric. It remains a bit of magic.
According to the manufacturer, significantly less water and fewer fossil resources are used and less CO₂ is emitted during the production of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ compared to conventional viscose. A great alternative, therefore, for those who love the supple feel of viscose but also consciously look at the origin of a fabric.
How does the RECOLUTION MITHILA shirt fit?
MITHILA is supposed to have a somewhat loose and nonchalant fit. Therefore, simply choose your own size if you want to wear the shirt as it is intended. If you are truly between two sizes, you can choose the smaller size.
I am wearing size M in the photo. The RECOLUTION model is wearing size S. This allows you to see the fit on two different bodies as well.
How do you style MITHILA?
With almost anything, which is exactly why we love these kinds of basics. Tuck it loosely into jeans or trousers, wear it under a knit cardigan or a cool jacket, or combine it with a blazer if you want to make it a bit dressier.
And once it's warm enough? Just like that. It is precisely that cap sleeve and supple fabric that make it look great all on its own.
How do you keep a thin ECOVERO™ shirt looking nice?
With a fine, thin fabric, it is wise to be a bit careful with sharp and hard parts on other clothing. A belt, metal trouser button, or zipper can eventually cause small damages or holes through repeated rubbing.
Therefore, preferably wash MITHILA with similar, soft clothing and close zippers before putting everything in the machine. Always follow the wash label and remove the shirt from the machine immediately after washing. This helps prevent wrinkles and laundry streaks and prevents wet laundry from sitting in the drum for an unnecessarily long time.
Frequently asked questions about RECOLUTION MITHILA
Is MITHILA a tight-fitting shirt?
No. This style is meant to fall somewhat more loosely and supplely around the body. That nonchalance is truly part of MITHILA.
Which size should I choose?
We recommend your normal size. If you are between two sizes, you can go for the smaller one. For comparison: I am wearing size M in our photos and the RECOLUTION model is wearing size S.
Is ECOVERO™ the same as TENCEL™?
No. This is an important one: ECOVERO™ and TENCEL™ are not the same. They are both fiber brands from LENZING, but MITHILA is made of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose and not TENCEL™ lyocell.
Can I also wear MITHILA under a cardigan or blazer?
Very much so. The fabric is thin and supple, so it barely adds any volume under a cardigan or jacket. This makes it such a fine basic that you can actually use all year round.
Our kind of basic: soft, supple, easy to combine, and just special enough to secretly want more than one color.
