RECOLUTION shirt MITHILA – airy Tencel basic with cap sleeve

The kind of top you'll reach for every season, that’s MITHILA from RECOLUTION. This sustainable basic is made from 100% Tencel – a fabric literally made from wood. It sounds like a fairytale, but it really is true. And the best part: Tencel is not only plant-based and vegan, but also wonderfully airy, soft, and has a slight sheen.

The MITHILA features a high round neckline and short, integrated sleeves (also known as cap sleeves). It has a loose fit, making it super comfortable to wear. It’s perfect under a cardigan, a blazer, or just on its own when the weather allows. Because of the loose fit, we recommend: if you are between two sizes, choose the smaller one.

Tencel is truly next-level sustainable

Producing this fabric requires up to 50% less water than cotton, and CO2 emissions are 46% lower. Everything is done in a closed-loop system where water, energy, and raw materials are recycled. Smart and eco-friendly!

Washing instructions – very important for delicate fabrics

Be careful with belts, metal buttons, and zippers: they can quickly cause holes in this thin fabric. Wash with love, preferably on a delicate cycle using liquid detergent. Remove it from the washing machine immediately to prevent wash marks (and musty odors).

ECOVERO is bijzonder

En dit is waarom:

ECOVERO is een gecertificeerde viscosevezel van Lenzing, gemaakt van duurzaam bosbeheer. Het voelt zijdezacht aan, valt prachtig en ademt uitstekend. Anders dan gewone viscose wordt ECOVERO geproduceerd met aanzienlijk minder water en energie, en met een lagere uitstoot van schadelijke stoffen. Het is een materiaal dat je goed voelt: op je huid, en in je hoofd.

Wassen

Was op 30 graden met het fijnwasprogramma. Tencel is gevoelig voor hitte en intensief wassen, dan kan het snel vaal worden, dus behandel het voorzichtig.

Wasmiddel

Gebruik een mild, bij voorkeur biologisch wasmiddel. Liefst zo min mogelijk: veel wasmiddel tast de vezel aan. Geen bleekmiddel en geen wasverzachter.

Drogen

Haal het DIRECT uit de machine, na het wassen. Tencel en ecovero zijn gevoelig voor wasstrepen. Laat tencel aan de lucht drogen, bij voorkeur hangend. Niet in de droger, dat kan de vezel beschadigen, en ook niet in de zon, dan kan het verkleuren.

Extra verzorging

Tencel kan soms "gekrompen" voelen na het wassen. Strijk of stoom op een lage temperatuur als dat nodig is, dan zal het direct zijn oorspronkelijke vorm en zachtheid terug krijgen. Was niet vaker dan nodig, luchten is vaak genoeg om het kledingstuk fris te houden.
