Sometimes you put something on and think: yes, I get it right away – this wool-silk longsleeve from Living Crafts is exactly that kind of item.
Why this longsleeve is so great
This longsleeve is made of 70% organic merino wool and 30% silk. And that combination just works really well. The wool regulates your temperature and breathes, while the silk provides extra softness. The result: a shirt that is warm when it's cold, airy when you move, and, most importantly, doesn't itch.
What I often hear from customers is that they forget they’re wearing it. No stuffy feeling, no sweat odors, no itchiness. This is exactly what wool underwear is supposed to do.
Fit and occasions to wear
Living Crafts is known for the nice length of their shirts, and you notice that immediately here. This longsleeve has a nice long fit, stays tucked into your pants, and keeps your lower back warm. Ideal as a base layer under a sweater, cardigan, or shirt, but also great to wear on its own.
The fit is close-fitting, as wool is meant to be. Wool works best when it is close to the skin; that way, it can perform its temperature-regulating function properly. It fits true to size, so just choose the size you normally wear.
Good to know: this longsleeve is also available as a t-shirt and as a long john. Handy if you like to wear multiple layers of the same lovely wool.
You (almost) never have to wash wool
Wool is naturally self-cleaning. This means that you usually don’t have to wash this longsleeve. Simply airing it out after wearing is often enough. Hang it in the bathroom or outside for a night and it will be fresh again.
The lanolin in the wool helps with this. If the fabric gets a little damp, it actually activates the self-cleaning effect. It is therefore perfectly normal not to wash wool-silk underwear for months, as long as you air it out well.
Need to wash it anyway? Be gentle with your wool
If it does need a wash, always use a wool detergent with lanolin, such as Lanalicious. That nourishes the wool instead of washing away its natural properties.
Wash on a wool cycle, use a small amount of detergent, and remove the shirt from the machine immediately. After washing, gently pull it into shape lengthwise and let it dry lying flat. This way, it will stay long and comfortable for a long time.

Sustainable and fairly made
The wool in this longsleeve is organic and IVN BEST certified. That is the highest standard for organic wool. No mulesing, no chemical treatments, just fair production and a garment you will enjoy for years.
