LANIUS wool camisole JILL with lace – 100% organic merino wool
Pure wool, pure temptation. Yes, wool can actually be like this. The LANIUS JILL is a beautifully feminine wool camisole made of 100% organic merino wool, finished with a refined lace edge along the neckline. Soft, elegant, and a little bit sexy – without being frumpy for even a second.
Do you know that feeling when you put something on and immediately think: oooo, this is lovely? That’s how we feel about JILL. It’s the kind of camisole that is fantastic as a first layer under your clothes, but which we actually find a bit of a shame to hide away completely. Please, let that lace show!
We have JILL in two beautiful colors: VIOLET and NIGHT BLUE. Violet is that wonderful, intense purple-blue color that immediately does something special to an outfit. Night Blue is a deep dark blue and is therefore incredibly easy to combine.

Is the LANIUS JILL camisole really 100% wool?
Yes! The camisole itself is made of 100% organic merino wool. And we think it is important to state that clearly, because a great deal is sold as a 'wool camisole' while it turns out to contain only a portion of wool.
JILL is therefore exactly such a fine basic for everyone who consciously chooses natural materials. The wool used comes from controlled organic farming (GOTS).
Why is a wool camisole so nice?
Because wool is truly a little miracle of nature. Merino wool helps regulate your body temperature: it retains heat when you need it, but can simultaneously absorb moisture and remains breathable. This makes a merino wool camisole for women not only nice when it is freezing outside.
You can actually wear JILL for a large part of the year. In winter as a wonderfully warm first layer, during spring and autumn under a cardigan or blouse, and on cooler summer days simply as a top.
And another nice thing about wool: it absorbs odors much less quickly than many other materials. You therefore really don't need to wash a wool camisole immediately after every wear. Letting it air out is often enough.
Is this a wool camisole that you can also just wear as a top?
Absolutely. And that is perhaps what we like most about JILL. This is not a thermal undershirt that must be hidden immediately as soon as someone rings the doorbell.
The V-neck and the refined lace give it almost the appearance of lingerie. Wear JILL with nice trousers and a cardigan or jacket over it, and you have a complete outfit. And on warmer days? As far as we are concerned, it looks just fine on its own.
How do you style the lace edge?
By showing it off! Under a sweater or cardigan with a V-neck, for example, so that only that little piece of lace remains visible. That makes a simple wool sweater suddenly much more feminine.
We also love JILL under a blouse with the top buttons left open, under a low-cut dress, or with a loose cardigan. The lace finish also continues beautifully at the back. So do you have a sweater or dress with a deeper back? Even better.
Which color will you choose: VIOLET or NIGHT BLUE?
VIOLET is for anyone who could use a splash of color. It is a deep, powerful purple-blue shade that looks beautiful with denim, dark blue, black, gray, and brown. It’s the kind of color that makes a simple outfit suddenly interesting.
NIGHT BLUE is the calmer sister. Deep dark blue, chic, and incredibly easy. A great alternative to black and therefore also perfect if you mainly want to use JILL as a base layer.
Or, of course, do what we would do and just take them both. Because these are exactly the kind of camisoles you think about later: I wish I had two.
How does the LANIUS JILL wool camisole fit?
JILL fits true to size. Therefore, just choose the size you normally wear. The model follows the body without it feeling tight or constricting.
That is also important for a wool base layer: too loose and you lose some of that wonderful insulating effect, but too tight is, of course, not pleasant either. JILL is perfectly in between.
Does a merino wool camisole itch?
Merino wool consists of much finer wool fibers than the coarse wool people often think of when they hear "itchy wool." As a result, merino wool feels much softer on the skin and is specifically widely used for clothing that you wear directly against your body.
How you experience wool remains personal, of course – one skin is more sensitive than the other – but if you like wearing wool directly against the skin, merino wool is pre-eminently suitable for that.
How do you wash a merino wool camisole?
The most important advice: don't wash it more often than necessary. Let JILL air out nicely after wearing it. Wool naturally has properties that prevent odors from lingering, and often the camisole can be worn again right after.
Is washing necessary after all? Always follow the wash label and use a suitable wool wash cycle and a special wool detergent. We naturally use our own LANALICIOUS wool detergent with lanolin for this. Do not use regular detergent and never just put wool in the dryer. After washing, gently reshape it and preferably let it dry lying flat.
Why is JILL such a great basic for your wardrobe?
Because it is actually three garments in one: wool undershirt, feminine top, and perfect layer under your sweaters and cardigans. You get the natural properties of organic merino wool, but in a version that doesn't remind you of "thermal underwear" at all.
And that is exactly what makes us happy. Natural materials don't have to be sensible or boring. Look at that lace, that deep V, and those beautiful colors. Warm and feminine can go perfectly together.
