Classic cables, modern fit
The beauty of CHARLIE lies in the combination. The intricate cable pattern is reminiscent of traditional wool cardigans, while the shorter, straight cut looks very contemporary. The cardigan falls approximately to the hip, making it look beautiful with higher-waisted trousers or skirts.
The fit is straight and somewhat boxy. There is enough room to wear a blouse, thin turtleneck, or long-sleeved shirt underneath. Thanks to the round neck, you can wear CHARLIE fully closed as a sweater, but it works just as well open over a shirt or dress.
How does the KOMODO CHARLIE cardigan fit?
Choose your usual size for the fit as seen in the photo. Do you want to wear the cardigan looser or layer thicker items underneath? Then you can choose a size larger.
The model in the Komodo photo is 170 cm tall and is wearing a size 2, comparable to a size M. Please note that CHARLIE has a deliberately shorter, straight cut. So do not expect a long cardigan that falls loosely over the hips. I am wearing a size L in the photo.
What color is SAND?
SAND is a soft, warm sand color with a calm, natural look. The color sits between light beige and soft taupe and is particularly easy to combine. Think of denim, black, chocolate brown, rust, olive green, and dark blue.
You can also combine it tone-on-tone. For example, wear CHARLIE with ecru, camel, or other neutral tones for a calm outfit where the cable pattern gets all the attention. The dark buttons provide a nice contrast and prevent the overall look from being too sweet.
SAND or COBALT?
SAND is calm, warm, and easy to combine. A great choice if you love wearing natural colors but want a cardigan with enough structure and character.
COBALT is bright, intense, and definitely not shy. This version looks stunning with denim and is surprisingly beautiful with brown, rust, ecru, or green. The same cardigan, but with a completely different energy. One whispers something cozy; the other walks in singing.
Dark corozo buttons
The cardigan fastens with dark corozo buttons. Corozo is a hard, plant-based material made from the nut of the tagua palm. The material is sturdy and naturally has a beautiful, subtle texture.
The dark buttons clearly stand out against the light sand color, making the cardigan just a bit edgier. You can button CHARLIE all the way up, only fasten the top buttons, or wear it completely open.
How does lambswool feel?
Lambswool is warm, breathable, and resilient. The wool retains a lot of air and therefore helps maintain your body heat without feeling stifling. The wool used is mulesing-free.
How wool feels on the skin remains personal. Lambswool can feel a bit firmer than, for example, alpaca or fine merino wool. Are you sensitive to wool? Then wear a blouse, cotton long-sleeved shirt, or thin wool-silk shirt underneath. You can, of course, also come to our store to try on and feel the cardigan first.
How to keep CHARLIE looking beautiful
Fortunately, you hardly need to wash wool. Hang the cardigan outside regularly to freshen it up and give it a rest after wearing. Is washing necessary after all? Then follow the care label and choose a cold hand wash with a small amount of Lanalicious wool detergent. The lanolin helps keep the wool soft and supple.

Pilling is part of wool
Due to wear and friction, small pills may form, especially at the sleeves, sides, and under the arms. This is normal for wool and says nothing about the quality of the cardigan.
With a Gleener fabric shaver, you can remove the pills gently. This keeps the intricate cable pattern nicely visible and makes CHARLIE look well-maintained again.

Is the cardigan itch-free?
That is personal. Lambswool can feel a bit firmer than finer wool types. For sensitive skin, we recommend a thin layer under the cardigan.
Is CHARLIE also available in another color?
Yes. In addition to the calm SAND color, the cardigan is available in bright COBALT. The model and material are the same, but the colors give the cardigan a totally different look.
Can the cardigan go in the washing machine?
KOMODO recommends a cool hand wash. Always check the sewn-in care label before washing and let the cardigan dry flat after washing.
