HOCOSA wool longsleeve made of wool and silk ladies TERRACOTTA
Sometimes you have a piece of clothing that you never want to take off. This HOCOSA wool-silk longsleeve for women in TERRACOTTA is one of those. It is made of 70% organic merino wool and 30% silk and feels soft, thin, and supple. Wonderful as a natural base layer, but in this warm terracotta color, it is also much too beautiful to always hide under a sweater.
The longsleeve fits nicely and is pleasantly long. We often hear this feedback in our store: finally a shirt that stays tucked well into your trousers or skirt and keeps your lower back warm. The round neckline is slightly lower than that of many longsleeves from ENGEL. This makes it easier to keep out of sight under a blouse, dress, or sweater.

A natural first layer for every day
Wool retains warmth when you need it, but at the same time helps to wick away moisture and excess heat. As a result, this wool longsleeve feels comfortable without turning you into your own personal sauna. The silk makes the fabric smoother, softer, and more supple.
Precisely because wool-silk is so thin, you can easily wear the shirt directly against your skin. Under a sweater on cold work days, under a dress when you don't want bare arms, or as a natural base layer while hiking, cycling, or traveling. Moreover, wool absorbs odors less quickly than many other materials. You can often wear the longsleeve several times before washing is necessary.
The warm color TERRACOTTA
TERRACOTTA is a warm rust-orange shade that gives this shirt a very different look than a traditional base layer. Combine it with denim, navy blue, olive green, brown, or neutrals. The color and neat round neckline also make this longsleeve very suitable to wear simply as outerwear.
Do you mainly want to wear it under other clothing? The thin seams are barely visible, and because the neckline is slightly lower, a collar won't easily peek out above your outer layers. Unless, of course, you like that! In that case, this color certainly deserves to be seen.
HOCOSA or ENGEL: which longsleeve should you choose?
The models from HOCOSA and ENGEL look similar at first glance, but differ in fit and neckline, among other things. This HOCOSA longsleeve has a slightly lower-cut round neckline and is therefore great under clothing with a wider neck. Both brands make soft wool-silk base layers, but which model suits you best depends on your body, your skin, and the way you want to wear the shirt.

Fit and size advice
This HOCOSA longsleeve is true to size and is intended to be worn reasonably fitted. A wool base layer works best when the fabric is close to the skin, but the shirt should not pull or pinch anywhere.
Do you want to wear the longsleeve primarily as underwear? Then choose your usual size. If you prefer to wear it as a visible shirt or are between two sizes, you can choose the larger size. Keep in mind that wool-silk becomes slightly more supple to your body while wearing it.
Washing tips for wool and silk
Fortunately, wool and silk do not need to be washed after every wear. First, let the longsleeve air out overnight outside, by an open window, or in the bathroom. Often, that is enough to make it feel fresh again.
Does it need to be washed? Use a wool wash cycle at a maximum of 30 degrees, a low spin speed, and a mild wool detergent with lanolin, such as Lanalicious wool detergent. Do not use regular detergent or fabric softener and do not put the shirt in the dryer.
Do not wring the longsleeve. Carefully press the water out, then gently pull the shirt back into shape lengthwise and let it dry flat. You can find more practical tips in our video on washing wool and silk.
