HIRSCH NATUR wool socks with linen – warm, honest and so comfortable

Look, once you have worn pure wool socks, you really won't want to go back. These HIRSCH NATUR socks are made of 95% organic wool and 5% linen. So: no synthetic yarn, just pure softness and natural warmth. And you feel that the moment you put them on.

Breathable, soft and completely GOTS

The organic wool keeps your feet dry and warm, while the bit of linen makes the sock just that little bit stronger. Everything is fully GOTS-certified, so it is both organic and fair. These socks come in two versions: one with a black/grey print and one with a soft pink pattern – both equally beautiful, with that subtle Scandinavian touch.

Washing? Better not!

Wool is self-cleaning. So no, you don't have to wash these socks after every wear. Just hang them outside overnight and they will be fresh again. Still want to wash them? Always use a wool wash cycle with wool detergent containing lanolin. This is because wool does not shrink due to heat, but due to temperature fluctuations. A good wool wash cycle keeps the temperature constant. Use a low temperature and the lowest possible spin speed.

Wool = wear and tear. Period.

Pure wool is delicate. And yes, these socks wear out. Much faster than socks containing plastic. But that is exactly why they are so wonderful. Our tip? Buy several pairs and rotate them. Wear them in well-fitting shoes, otherwise there is too much friction. And stay alert: regularly check the toes, ball of the foot, or heel to see if the wool is thinning. This will prevent fraying.

Please note: we do not provide a guarantee against wear and tear. That is part of wearing pure wool. And: thin socks logically wear out faster than thick socks.

Wol is fantastisch

En dit is waarom:

Wol is een natuurlijk materiaal dat heerlijk warm aanvoelt en tegelijkertijd juist goed ademt. Het helpt je lichaamstemperatuur op een fijne manier in balans te houden, zodat je het minder snel te warm of te koud krijgt. Daarnaast kan wol veel vocht opnemen zonder klam aan te voelen, wat het extra comfortabel maakt. Door de natuurlijke eigenschappen blijft wol vaak langer fris, waardoor je het minder vaak hoeft te wassen. Ook is wol sterk, veerkrachtig en gaat het bij goed onderhoud jarenlang mee. Het is dus niet alleen fijn om te dragen, maar ook een mooie, duurzame keuze.

Was koud of lauw

Was wol altijd voorzichtig koud of op maximaal 30 graden, ALTIJD met een wolwasprogramma. Wol krimpt bij temperatuurswisselingen, deze heb je niet bij een wolwasprogramma. Let op, wolwas programma is en essentie anders dan het handwasprogramma!

Gebruik wolwasmiddel

Kies altijd een mild wolwasmiddel en vermijd gewone wasmiddelen, omdat die de wolvezel kunnen beschadigen.

Niet wringen of slepen

Behandel wol rustig, laat het niet zwaar uithangen als het nat is. Wring de wol nooit uit. Druk het water er voorzichtig uit en laat het kledingstuk plat drogen op een handdoek.

Luchten is het beste!

In principe volstaat luchten ook. Was alleen als het echt nodig is!
