They fit into all your shoes (yes, really – except for pumps, but that’s more of an aesthetic choice than a practical one). Fit & size advice

HIRSCH NATUR socks run large. In doubt? Go for the smaller size. The cuff is soft but secure, and the socks fit nicely without constricting. Thanks to the natural elasticity of wool, they shape beautifully to your foot. Available in sizes 36 to 48 – making them suitable for both women and men.

Material & care

Made of 100% organic wool – without synthetic fibers. This means these socks breathe fantastically, keeping your feet warm but never sweaty, and they don’t absorb odors. You barely need to wash them: just hang them outside or in the bathroom while you shower, and they’ll be fresh again.

Do they need washing? Use a cold wool wash cycle and always use Lanalicious. Wool only shrinks due to temperature fluctuations and heavy spinning, so be gentle with your socks. An important note about pure wool

Pure wool socks can wear out – it's part of the process. No 100% wool sock is completely resistant to intensive use. How quickly this happens varies by person, shoe, and walking style. Do you see thin spots? Darn them with darning wool and your socks will last even longer. Honest, sustainable, and just like grandma used to do.

FAQ – frequently asked questions

Are these socks truly “thin”?
They are thinner than Norwegian wool socks, but thicker than our plain Grodo socks. Exactly in between – ideal for inside shoes.

Do they itch?
No, the organic wool feels soft and breathes well. This means you don't get sweaty feet and therefore no irritation.

Can I wash them?
Only if really necessary, on a cold wool wash cycle, with Lanalicious. Usually, airing them out is sufficient.

Will holes appear in pure wool socks?
Yes, eventually. That is part of 100% wool. Read our blog about wear and maintenance to slow down this process.

Why do they run large?
Because they don't contain synthetic elastic fibers. The wool molds to your foot, so feel free to choose your smaller size.
