GIVN high waist corduroy trousers ELENA BLACK made of organic cotton

So, this is not just another pair of black trousers. The GIVN ELENA BLACK features a high waist, long wide legs, and is made from soft corduroy. This gives it much more texture and character than a regular plain pair of black trousers, while you can still pair it with just about anything.

ELENA is made from 100% organic cotton and is GOTS-certified. We have it in two colors: BLACK and WINE RED.

High waist with truly wide legs

ELENA sits high on the waist and runs wide and straight down from the hips. It is not one of those pairs of trousers that flares out by three centimeters at the bottom just for the sake of it and calls itself wide fit. These really do have wide legs.

The high waist looks great with a blouse, T-shirt, or sweater tucked in at the front. The corduroy fabric gives the trousers texture and feels softer and warmer than regular plain cotton trousers.

How to style ELENA BLACK

  • Cool with an oversized T-shirt and sneakers
  • Smart with a blouse and ankle boots
  • Warm with a wool sweater and chunky shoes
  • Monochromatic with black and anthracite
  • Striking with pink, red, lime green, or bright blue

BLACK is, of course, the easiest color of the bunch. The trousers go with almost everything, yet they definitely don't look boring thanks to the wide ribbed texture. Would you prefer the same style in a warm color? Then there is also ELENA WINE RED.

ELENA has a high waist, a wide straight fit, and a long length. The measurements below are in centimeters, measured on the trousers laid flat. The waist and hem widths are therefore half-circumferences.

It is best to compare the waist width and total length with a well-fitting pair of trousers laid flat. The legs of the ELENA are long and can be shortened if necessary.

GOTS-certified and vegan

The organic cotton is GOTS-certified. This quality mark sets requirements for the processing of organic fibers and for ecological and social conditions within the production chain. ELENA is also PETA-Approved Vegan and contains no materials of animal origin.

The trousers are produced under fair conditions in Paredes, Portugal.

How to care for corduroy trousers

Wash ELENA inside out according to the instructions on the wash label and use a mild detergent. It is better not to tumble dry them: this keeps the color, fit, and soft ribbed texture looking beautiful for longer. Always iron or brush the fabric gently in the direction of the rib.

Biologisch katoen is bijzonder

En dit is waarom:

Biologisch katoen is een van de zachtste en meest huidvriendelijke materialen die er zijn. Het ademt goed, voelt vertrouwd aan en is makkelijk te wassen. Doordat het geteeld wordt zonder synthetische pesticiden of kunstmest, is het ook eerlijker voor de bodem en voor de mensen die het verbouwen. Biologisch katoen bevat minder chemische resten dan gewoon katoen, wat het extra fijn maakt voor mensen met een gevoelige huid — en zeker voor baby's en kinderen. Het is een materiaal dat je gewoon goed voelt: op je huid, en in je hoofd.

Wassen op lage temperatuur

Was biologisch katoen op maximaal 30 of 40 graden in de machine. Gebruik een fijnwasprogramma voor een langere levensduur.

Wasmiddel

Gebruik een mild, bij voorkeur biologisch wasmiddel. Vermijd bleekmiddel, dat tast de vezels aan.

Drogen

Haal je kleding DIRECT uit de wasmachine om wasstrepen te voorkomen. Laat het kledingstuk bij voorkeur aan de lucht drogen. Vermijd drogen in de droger, dat doet meer slecht dan goed voor je textielvezel.

Extra verzorging

Katoen is makkelijk te strijken op een middelhoge temperatuur. Was niet vaker dan nodig, luchten is vaak genoeg!
