GIVN organic cotton corduroy shirt KURT

The kind of shirt that is actually much more than just a shirt: you can also perfectly wear the GIVN KURT as an overshirt or light jacket. The soft organic cotton corduroy gives it a warm appearance, while the loose fit ensures it is wonderfully relaxed.

Wear KURT buttoned up as a shirt or open over a T-shirt, turtleneck, or wool sweater. We have it in two timeless colors: BROWN, a deep coffee-brown shade, and BLUE, a calm dark blue.

Shirt and overshirt

KURT has the details of a classic men’s shirt, but thanks to the sturdy corduroy fabric and roomy cut, you can also wear it as an overshirt. Ideal for those days when a jacket is too warm, but just a sweater feels a bit too optimistic.

The raised rib structure makes the fabric soft and gives the shirt extra depth. Moreover, corduroy is very easy to combine: casual with jeans and sneakers, smart with chinos, or as a complete corduroy suit with matching corduroy trousers.

Fit and sizing advice

The GIVN KURT has a wide fit and is intended to fall loosely. This leaves enough room to wear a T-shirt, shirt, or thin sweater underneath. Choose your usual size for the intended roomy overshirt look.

The measurements below are in centimeters, taken from a garment laid flat. The chest and bottom width are half-circumferences. For the best sizing advice, compare them with a well-fitting shirt or overshirt from your own wardrobe.

GOTS-certified and vegan

The organic cotton is GOTS-certified. This certification sets requirements for both the processing of organic fibers and the ecological and social conditions within the production chain. KURT also carries the PETA-Approved Vegan label and therefore contains no materials of animal origin.

The overshirt is produced under fair conditions in Paredes, Portugal.

How to care for corduroy

Always follow the wash label and wash the shirt inside out with a mild detergent. Let it air dry and avoid the tumble dryer so that the rib structure stays looking good for longer. Does the corduroy look a bit flat after washing? Then carefully iron or brush the fabric along the direction of the ribs.

Biologisch katoen is bijzonder

En dit is waarom:

Biologisch katoen is een van de zachtste en meest huidvriendelijke materialen die er zijn. Het ademt goed, voelt vertrouwd aan en is makkelijk te wassen. Doordat het geteeld wordt zonder synthetische pesticiden of kunstmest, is het ook eerlijker voor de bodem en voor de mensen die het verbouwen. Biologisch katoen bevat minder chemische resten dan gewoon katoen, wat het extra fijn maakt voor mensen met een gevoelige huid — en zeker voor baby's en kinderen. Het is een materiaal dat je gewoon goed voelt: op je huid, en in je hoofd.

Wassen op lage temperatuur

Was biologisch katoen op maximaal 30 of 40 graden in de machine. Gebruik een fijnwasprogramma voor een langere levensduur.

Wasmiddel

Gebruik een mild, bij voorkeur biologisch wasmiddel. Vermijd bleekmiddel, dat tast de vezels aan.

Drogen

Haal je kleding DIRECT uit de wasmachine om wasstrepen te voorkomen. Laat het kledingstuk bij voorkeur aan de lucht drogen. Vermijd drogen in de droger, dat doet meer slecht dan goed voor je textielvezel.

Extra verzorging

Katoen is makkelijk te strijken op een middelhoge temperatuur. Was niet vaker dan nodig, luchten is vaak genoeg!
