The kind of shirt that is actually much more than a shirt: the GIVN KURT is also perfect to wear as an overshirt or light jacket. The soft organic cotton corduroy gives it a warm look, while the wide fit makes it feel nice and relaxed.

Wear the KURT buttoned up as a shirt or open over a T-shirt, turtleneck, or wool sweater. We have it in two timeless colors: BROWN, a deep coffee brown shade, and BLUE, a calm dark blue.

Shirt and overshirt in one

The KURT has the details of a classic men's shirt, but the sturdy corduroy fabric and roomy cut mean you can also wear it as an overshirt. Ideal for those days when a jacket is too warm, but just a sweater feels a bit too optimistic.

The raised rib structure makes the fabric soft and gives the shirt extra depth. Corduroy is also very easy to combine: casual with jeans and sneakers, smart with chinos, or as a complete ribbed suit with matching corduroy trousers.

Fit and size advice

The GIVN KURT has a wide fit and is meant to be worn loosely. This leaves plenty of room to wear a T-shirt, shirt, or thin sweater underneath. Choose your usual size for the intended roomy overshirt look.

The measurements below are in centimeters, taken from a garment laid flat. The chest and hem width are therefore half-circumferences. For the best size advice, compare them with a well-fitting shirt or overshirt from your own wardrobe.

GOTS-certified and vegan

The organic cotton is GOTS-certified. This certification sets requirements for both the processing of organic fibers and for environmental and social conditions within the production chain. The KURT also carries the PETA-Approved Vegan label, meaning it contains no materials of animal origin.

The overshirt is produced under fair conditions in Paredes, Portugal.

How to care for corduroy

Always follow the care label and wash the shirt inside out with a mild detergent. Let it air dry and avoid the tumble dryer so that the rib structure stays beautiful for longer. Does the corduroy look a bit flat after washing? Then gently iron or brush the fabric in the direction of the rib.

Biologisch katoen is bijzonder

En dit is waarom:

Biologisch katoen is een van de zachtste en meest huidvriendelijke materialen die er zijn. Het ademt goed, voelt vertrouwd aan en is makkelijk te wassen. Doordat het geteeld wordt zonder synthetische pesticiden of kunstmest, is het ook eerlijker voor de bodem en voor de mensen die het verbouwen. Biologisch katoen bevat minder chemische resten dan gewoon katoen, wat het extra fijn maakt voor mensen met een gevoelige huid — en zeker voor baby's en kinderen. Het is een materiaal dat je gewoon goed voelt: op je huid, en in je hoofd.

Wassen op lage temperatuur

Was biologisch katoen op maximaal 30 of 40 graden in de machine. Gebruik een fijnwasprogramma voor een langere levensduur.

Wasmiddel

Gebruik een mild, bij voorkeur biologisch wasmiddel. Vermijd bleekmiddel, dat tast de vezels aan.

Drogen

Haal je kleding DIRECT uit de wasmachine om wasstrepen te voorkomen. Laat het kledingstuk bij voorkeur aan de lucht drogen. Vermijd drogen in de droger, dat doet meer slecht dan goed voor je textielvezel.

Extra verzorging

Katoen is makkelijk te strijken op een middelhoge temperatuur. Was niet vaker dan nodig, luchten is vaak genoeg!
