NATURAL STYLE COLETTE MULTI alpaca sweater with batwing sleeves
These colors! The NATURAL STYLE COLETTE MULTI is a striped women’s sweater made of 100% baby alpaca. The combination of blue, green, rust, red, pink, and burgundy makes it cheerful, but certainly not loud. And because the stripes constantly change in color and width, every side is truly beautiful.
The wide batwing sleeves give COLETTE its distinctive shape. The sweater fits loosely around the body and moves comfortably with you. It’s the kind of style you just pull over your head, and your outfit is instantly complete.

- Available in two combined sizes
How does the COLETTE alpaca sweater fit?
COLETTE has a very loose fit. This is intentional to the design and creates that beautiful, relaxed batwing shape. Don't be put off by the combined sizes. You can easily wear size S/M if you normally wear size 34 to 40. L/XL is suitable for approximately size 42 to 46.

Still doubting between the two sizes? Consider the size you normally wear around your hips and how loose you want the sweater to be. Thanks to the batwing sleeves, there is already plenty of room in the shoulders and bust.
Lightly knit, yet cozy
This is not a very thick, heavy winter sweater. The knit is relatively light and supple, while alpaca retains a surprising amount of warmth. In the photo, I am wearing a wool and silk camisole underneath. On really cold days, you can also beautifully combine COLETTE with a thin turtleneck.
Because of its loose fit, you can easily throw it over a blouse, long-sleeve shirt, or dress. The colors and stripes look especially beautiful over a simple, plain dress. Worn with jeans, it feels effortless and a bit edgy.
How does baby alpaca feel?
Baby alpaca is an exceptionally fine quality of alpaca wool. The fibers are soft, light, and insulating. Alpaca is naturally lanolin-free. This can be pleasant if you prefer to avoid lanolin, although sensitivity to wool is, of course, personal.
The sweater feels softer and smoother than many chunky-knit sheep’s wool sweaters. Are you very sensitive to any form of wool? Wear a thin camisole or shirt underneath, as I do in the photo.
How to care for a pure alpaca sweater?
You almost never need to wash alpaca. Hang the sweater outside or near an open window overnight after wearing it. Usually, it will be fresh enough for the next wear.
Does COLETTE need to be washed after all? Always follow the care label, use cold water, and a detergent suitable for alpaca. Do not rub, wring, or put it in the dryer. Gently reshape the sweater and let it dry flat. It is also best to store it folded, so the knit doesn't stretch out on a clothes hanger.
Pilling with alpaca
Even soft alpaca wool can pill or fluff due to friction, especially under the arms and in areas where a coat or bag rubs against the sweater. This is a normal characteristic of natural fibers and not a sign that the sweater is of poor quality.
Do not pull the pills off, but carefully remove them with a Gleener fabric shaver. Always test the shaver on an inconspicuous area first and work without pressing hard.
Do not buy if...
You are looking for a narrow, fitted sweater. COLETTE is loose, supple, and a bit poncho-like. Are you looking for a soft alpaca sweater with color, freedom of movement, and those lovely batwing sleeves? Then this is a dangerously tempting candidate.
Frequently asked questions about COLETTE
What is this striped sweater made of?
COLETTE is made of 100% baby alpaca and contains no synthetic fibers.
How does the sweater fit?
The sweater has a very loose fit. S/M is suitable for approximately size 34 to 40. L/XL generally fits size 42 to 46.
Is COLETTE a thick winter sweater?
No, the knit is not overly thick. However, alpaca retains heat well. This makes COLETTE great as a loose layer, and you can easily wear a camisole, long-sleeve, or turtleneck underneath.
Does baby alpaca itch?
Baby alpaca is finer and softer than many common wool types. Whether a wool sweater itches remains personal. If you are very sensitive, wear a thin camisole underneath or come and try it on in our store first.
Do I need to wash the alpaca sweater?
Usually not. Airing it out well is often sufficient. If washing is truly necessary, treat the sweater very carefully according to the care label and always dry it lying flat.
