ERIBÉ KINROSS wool sweater – soft luxury in colorful stripes
Oh la la, there she is: the KINROSS sweater from ERIBÉ Knitwear. And honestly? This is one of those sweaters that immediately makes you happy. Soft, colorful, special, and yet very wearable. Not a boring winter sweater, but a wool sweater with character. The kind you pull on on a crisp day and think: yes, bring on the autumn.
The KINROSS is made from 100% extra fine merino lambswool. That sounds luxurious, and it feels that way, too. Soft on the skin, warm without becoming heavy, and breathable enough so you won't immediately start sweating as soon as you step inside. This is exactly why we love good wool so much.
The MELISSA is the softest and most romantic color combination in the KINROSS collection. Powder pink and soft beige alternate with warm blue tones and a hint of orange—a combination that feels both fresh and warm at the same time. The MELISSA has something feminine and playful about it, without becoming too sweet. It pairs beautifully with cream, soft pink, light gray, denim, dark blue, and camel. Wear it with white or cream trousers for a light winter-spring look, or with dark jeans for more contrast.
Vera's tip: the MELISSA is the sweater for anyone who loves color but prefers to keep it soft. Those pink tones are truly surprisingly beautiful—not stuffy, but rather fresh and quirky. One of my favorites this season!
That typical ERIBÉ feeling
ERIBÉ is from Scotland and is known for colorful knitwear with a modern twist on traditional knitting patterns. Think fair isle, beautiful color combinations, fine details, and sweaters that feel as if someone put real care into them.
The KINROSS sweater features horizontal patterns and bands of color that give each color variant a completely different look. One colorway is fresh and soft, another is outspoken and warm. But they all have that typical ERIBÉ feeling: cheerful, quirky, yet stylish.
These aren't sweaters you just buy for one season. These are wearable pieces of art that you will enjoy for years. Provided you are a little kind to them, of course. But I'll help you with that in a moment.
100% extra fine merino lambswool
The KINROSS is made from 100% extra fine merino lambswool. Merino wool is naturally temperature-regulating, breathable, and self-cleaning. As a result, you don't have to wash this sweater very often at all. Simply airing it out or hanging it in the bathroom usually works wonders.
Also nice to know: the wool that ERIBÉ uses is mulesing-free. We think that's important. Because when you choose wool, you naturally want not only for it to be nice, warm, and beautiful, but also for animals to be treated better.
How does the ERIBÉ KINROSS sweater fit?
The KINROSS is true to size and fits a bit looser than, for example, the ALPINE models from ERIBÉ. This makes it feel just a bit more relaxed and easygoing. Still beautifully feminine, but not tight or constricting.
I am wearing size M in the photo and normally wear a size 40. If you want a more fitted look, choose your own size. Do you like it a bit roomier or do you like wearing a shirt or blouse under your sweater? Then you could potentially size up.
Still in doubt? Then be sure to check the size chart near the photos or give us a call. We would be happy to measure it for you. After all, with such a beautiful sweater, you want it to fit perfectly.
How do you wear the KINROSS?
This is the kind of sweater that doesn't really need much. Because of the colors and the pattern, it is special enough on its own.
Wear it with jeans for a cheerful, easy autumn look. With corduroy trousers, it immediately becomes a bit warmer and richer. With black or dark wide-leg pants, it gains a calm, stylish foundation. And under a wool coat, that colorful pattern peeks out just perfectly.
What I personally like so much: you can very easily wear color with this sweater without it becoming complicated. You don't have to style the entire outfit as if you're going to a fashion show. Just put it on, add a good pair of pants, and you're done. The sweater does the rest.
Washing tips for years of enjoyment
You almost never have to wash wool. Really. Airing it out is often enough. That's not just better for your sweater, but also for the environment and for your own laundry basket. Win-win-win.
Does the sweater need to be washed anyway? Choose a cold wool wash cycle and use a little bit of wool detergent with lanolin, such as our favorite Lanalicious wool detergent. Afterward, let the sweater dry flat on a towel. Do not hang it up while it's wet, as it can lose its shape.
And please: no tumble dryer. Wool really isn't happy with that. And you probably won't be either afterward.
You can view extra tips in the video I made especially for you. Also, read our washing guide, which you receive with every purchase, carefully. It contains exactly those small tips that help your wool clothing stay beautiful for much longer.
Pilling? Don't panic
Pilling can occur with soft wool. That is normal and does not mean your sweater is of poor quality. Especially with soft, natural fibers, some pills can form in areas where friction occurs. Think of under your arms, near your bag, or along your coat.
Carefully use the Gleener fabric shaver for that. It is worth its weight in gold. Above all, do not pull at the pills, but remove them gently with the correct side of the Gleener. That way, your sweater stays beautiful and fresh.
Sustainable & fair
ERIBÉ designs in Scotland and makes knitwear with a love for color, craftsmanship, and tradition. Their sweaters are made to be worn for a long time, not to disappear to the back of the closet after only one winter.
The KINROSS is made of 100% mulesing-free merino lambswool. A natural material that is warm, breathable, and strong. And precisely because this sweater is both outspoken and timeless, it remains special. Year after year.
That is what we at Natur-el find so beautiful: clothing that makes you happy, but that has also been well-thought-out. Regarding the material, the makers, the design, and its lifespan.
Don't buy if...
Are you looking for a thin, smooth basic sweater without a pattern? Then the ERIBÉ KINROSS is probably not the model for you.
But if you are looking for a soft wool sweater with color, character, and Scottish craftsmanship? Then this is truly the kind of sweater you will enjoy for years.
