Do you need to wash it after all? Always use a wool detergent with lanolin, such as Lanalicious. That nourishes the fiber and keeps your wool in top condition. Wash at a maximum of 30 degrees, on a wool cycle, with a low spin, and remove it from the machine immediately. Do not tumble dry.

Do small pills form over time? That is normal for wool. You can easily remove them with a Gleener. Never pluck, always carefully de-pill.
