How does the bordeaux ENGEL Natur turtleneck fit?
As we have come to expect from ENGEL, this wool-silk turtleneck also features a long and fairly slim fit. The fine fabric contours beautifully without adding bulk. This makes it very easy to tuck the turtleneck into your trousers or skirt while keeping your lower back well covered.
Doubting between two sizes? Choose the larger size. The style will still look nicely fitted, but you will have just that little bit of extra room and length. Especially if you wear the turtleneck directly against your skin, we find that is often the most comfortable.

If you are very sensitive to wool, how you experience it remains a personal matter. But if you find pure wool just a bit too noticeable, wool with silk is often a very fine next step.
Can you just wear this ENGEL turtleneck as a regular top?
We highly recommend it. In BORDEAUX, we actually think it is far too beautiful to be used only as a wool undershirt. The deep shade of red immediately gives a simple outfit warmth and combines beautifully with dark blue denim, black, gray, cream, camel, and brown.

That is one of the strongest points of merino wool. Wool helps your body maintain a pleasant temperature rather than just retaining as much heat as possible.
That is why wool-silk can also be pleasant when you perspire easily, regularly move from a warm to a cold environment, or suffer from temperature fluctuations. The fabric is much less likely to feel clammy than many synthetic materials.
How often do you need to wash a merino wool turtleneck?
Not after every wear! Wool naturally repels odors. Hang your turtleneck outside after wearing, by an open window, or in the bathroom, and give it some time to air out.
That not only saves a huge mountain of laundry but is also better for your clothes. The less often you wash fine wool, the less strain is put on the natural fibers.
How do you wash an ENGEL Natur wool-silk turtleneck?
Does the turtleneck need to be washed after all? Then use a cold wool wash cycle and always use a suitable wool detergent. We use Lanalicious wool detergent with lanolin for this. The lanolin helps to nourish the wool during washing and keep it supple.
Gently pull the turtleneck back into shape after washing, especially lengthwise, and let it dry lying flat. Do not wring and absolutely do not put it in the dryer.
