ENGEL pure wool cardigan for women – organic wool SAGE

The kind of cardigan you’ll actually enjoy wearing all year round. This pure wool women's cardigan by ENGEL Natur is made from 100% organic merino wool and comes in a beautiful, calm green color: SAGE. A lovely natural basic that is easy to layer over anything and also looks great worn buttoned up as a sweater.

The cardigan features a feminine V-neck, long sleeves, and delicate mother-of-pearl buttons on the front. (And yes, those buttons are quite handy on a cardigan ;-)). The fabric is soft and light, and thanks to the pure wool, it is wonderfully temperature-regulating.

How does the ENGEL Natur wool cardigan fit?

The cardigan has a nice slim, feminine fit without being tight. In our opinion, the pure wool version runs slightly larger than the same model in a wool-silk blend. Are you between two sizes? For this pure wool cardigan, we would recommend choosing the smaller size.

Why is a pure wool cardigan so nice?

Wool is a fantastic material to wear directly against the skin or as an extra layer. It helps keep your body temperature stable: warm when it’s chilly, but without feeling clammy when it gets warmer. It’s not for nothing that we sometimes call wool nature's air conditioning.

In addition, wool is much less prone to absorbing odors than, for example, cotton or synthetic materials. As a result, you don't need to wash this cardigan after every wear. Simply airing it out is often enough.

How to style the ENGEL wool cardigan in SAGE?

SAGE is one of those colors that pairs with almost anything. The soft green looks beautiful with natural shades, sand, cream, and brown, as well as with denim, black, and soft pink and earth tones. Wear the cardigan open over a wool camisole or shirt, or buttoned up as a lovely wool sweater.

How do you wash a 100% organic wool cardigan?

Preferably as little as possible! Hang your cardigan outside or in a steamy bathroom for a while after wearing, and wool often freshens itself up wonderfully.

Is washing still necessary? If so, wash wool gently and cold with a suitable wool detergent. We love using Lanalicious wool detergent with lanolin. After washing, gently pull the cardigan back into shape lengthwise and let it dry flat.

With pure wool, some pilling may occur over time due to wear and friction. This is part of the natural material and can be easily removed with a Gleener fabric shaver. This will keep your cardigan looking beautiful for a long time.

Is this wool cardigan suitable for every season?

Absolutely. Precisely because wool is temperature-regulating and breathable, this is the kind of cardigan you will find yourself reaching for surprisingly often. In the winter as a nice layer under a coat, in the spring and autumn as a cardigan, and on cooler summer evenings just over your shirt or dress. A truly sustainable wardrobe classic.

Wol is fantastisch

Was koud of lauw

Was wol altijd voorzichtig koud of op maximaal 30 graden, ALTIJD met een wolwasprogramma. Wol krimpt bij temperatuurswisselingen, deze heb je niet bij een wolwasprogramma. Let op, wolwas programma is en essentie anders dan het handwasprogramma!

Gebruik wolwasmiddel

Kies altijd een mild wolwasmiddel en vermijd gewone wasmiddelen, omdat die de wolvezel kunnen beschadigen.

Niet wringen of slepen

Behandel wol rustig, laat het niet zwaar uithangen als het nat is. Wring de wol nooit uit. Druk het water er voorzichtig uit en laat het kledingstuk plat drogen op een handdoek.

Luchten is het beste!

In principe volstaat luchten ook. Was alleen als het echt nodig is!
