ENGEL Natur wool-silk short-sleeve shirt for women
This ENGEL Natur wool-silk short-sleeve shirt is exactly the kind of essential base layer that you always want to have a clean one of in your wardrobe. It is thin, soft, and light, yet provides that pleasant layer of warmth under your everyday clothes. The calm natural color is easy to combine, and the round neckline makes the shirt suitable for wearing both as an undershirt and as a regular T-shirt.
The women's shirt is made of 70% organic wool and 30% silk. The wool helps to balance your body temperature and can absorb moisture without feeling clammy. The silk makes the fabric smoother, more supple, and softer. As a result, this wool undershirt feels much finer and lighter than the old-fashioned wool underwear that some people still get a little nervous about at the mention of the word 'wool'.

Right in between a tank top and a long-sleeve shirt
A short-sleeve shirt is ideal if you want more coverage than a tank top, but find long sleeves too warm or inconvenient. The sleeves cover your shoulders and armpits, while your forearms remain free. This makes the shirt easy to wear under a blouse, dress, cardigan, or sweater without having extra fabric at your wrists.
In winter, you can use it as a light, warm base layer. In spring and autumn, it is often sufficient under a cardigan or jacket, and on cooler summer days, you can simply wear it as a T-shirt. The natural color is calm and practical under light-colored outer clothing, but also looks beautiful when you wear the shirt visibly.

How does wool-silk feel on your skin?
Wool-silk is finer, smoother, and lighter than 100% wool. This is why many women choose this quality as their first introduction to wool underwear or when pure wool underwear feels too warm. The trade-off is that a shirt made of wool and silk generally provides slightly less warmth than a comparable shirt made of 100% wool.
The fabric is supple and stretchy and is perceived by many as soft. Nevertheless, sensitivity to wool remains personal. No type of wool can be called completely itch-free for everyone. If you are very sensitive to fibers on your bare skin, trying it on is the best way to discover how this quality feels for you.
Fit and size advice
The wool-silk shirts from ENGEL Natur have a long, slim, and fitted cut. That is pleasant for an undershirt: it follows your body, adds little extra bulk, and stays tucked into your pants or skirt easily. This ensures your lower back remains covered when you bend over, cycle, or are active all day.
If you are between sizes, have a larger bust, or prefer to wear a T-shirt that is a bit less tight, then choose the larger size. The fabric stretches, but this model is clearly intended to be worn fitted.

How to keep your wool undershirt in good condition
This shirt does not need to be washed after every use. Let it air out well after wearing, for example, in the bathroom or outdoors in a sheltered spot. Wool absorbs odors less quickly than many other fibers, which is why airing it out is often enough. Washing less is also better for the delicate wool-silk fabric.
Is washing necessary? Use a wool wash cycle at a maximum of 30 degrees, a low spin speed, and a suitable wool detergent with lanolin. Do not use regular detergent or fabric softener, and never let the shirt go through a regular wash cycle. One wrong wash can unfortunately be enough to cause the wool to felt or shrink.
Do not wring and do not put it in the dryer. After washing, gently pull the shirt back into shape, especially lengthwise, and let it dry flat. This is the best way to maintain the long, slim fit.
