Because if you give the wool a chance, for about an hour, the wool can warm up, the fibers will relax, and it becomes even softer than it already is. Isn't that nice?

Wool is self-cleaning

In principle, you therefore do not need to wash wool. The best way to care for your wool is to let it rest for 24 hours after wearing it. You can hang your undershirt, shirt, or long-sleeve in the bathroom or outside for a night to air out. The lanolin strengthens this self-cleaning process. When wool gets a little bit damp, it becomes slightly "soapy." It is not strange to go six months without washing your wool. But it is important to air out your wool.
After washing, pull your shirt into shape, especially in the length. If you don't do this, it can shrink from the washing. If you pull your shirt back into shape length-wise, it will stay nice and long. Handy, because then you can wear it tucked into your trousers or skirt. Keeps your back nice and warm.
