Why wool and silk are so comfortable to wear
Wool helps regulate your body temperature and can absorb moisture without immediately feeling clammy. The silk makes the fabric smoother, more supple, and lighter than a comparable camisole made of 100% wool. As a result, this wool-silk quality is pleasant to wear directly against the skin and is suitable for various seasons.
Wool-silk is generally slightly less warm than 100% wool. If you are specifically looking for the warmest possible base layer for very cold conditions, then a pure wool camisole might suit you better. If you want a thinner camisole that you can easily wear all year round, then this combination is very pleasant.
Wool-silk can also be comfortable if you sweat easily or have to deal with fluctuating temperatures, such as during menopause. The camisole does not prevent sweating, of course, but the material can absorb moisture and therefore often feels more pleasant than a fully synthetic fabric.

The lace edge: beautifully and honestly explained
The lace runs along the V-neck and gives the camisole a feminine look without being overly frilly. Especially in the deep navy, it looks calm and stylish. Looks great under a blouse with a few buttons open, under a jacket, or simply as a summer top.
Good to know: the main fabric is wool-silk, but the lace itself consists of 89% polyamide and 11% elastane. So, the entire camisole is not made exclusively of natural fibers. This addition ensures that the lace remains supple and elastic and fits nicely around the neck. We prefer to state this clearly so you know exactly what you are buying.
Long and slim: how this camisole fits
The women's camisoles from ENGEL have a long and fairly slim fit. The camisole hugs your body nicely and therefore does not create a bulky layer under your clothing. The extra length is practical when you tuck it into your pants or skirt: it stays in place better and your lower back stays covered when you sit or bend down.

Undershirt or summer top? Both are possible
In winter, you can wear this camisole as a thin, warm base layer under your regular clothing. On milder days, it also works perfectly on its own. The lace V-neck ensures it looks much more like a beautiful top than a classic piece of thermal underwear.

How to care for wool-silk and lace
This camisole does not need to be washed after every wear. After wearing, first let it air out overnight by an open window or in the bathroom. Wool is less prone to absorbing odors and is often fresh enough to wear again after being aired out properly.
If the camisole does need to be washed, choose the wool wash cycle at a maximum of 30 degrees and a low spin speed. Use a mild wool detergent with lanolin, such as our LANALICIOUS wool-silk detergent. Preferably put the camisole in a laundry bag so that the delicate lace does not get caught on a zipper, hook, or velcro.
- Wash only when airing out is no longer sufficient
- Use the wool wash cycle at a maximum of 30 degrees
- Wash with a suitable wool detergent with lanolin
- Preferably use a fine-mesh laundry bag
- Close sharp zippers and velcro on other clothing
- Do not wring or spin-dry heavily
- Gently reshape the camisole after washing
- Dry flat on a towel
- Do not put it in the dryer or on the heater
