They still make all their wool clothing themselves in their own small factory at the foot of the Swabian Alb. That’s in Germany, but it feels almost like a warm mountain village in your closet.

Reiff’s wool comes from Patagonia, where sheep still roam freely and mulesing – that unpleasant procedure on their hindquarters – is prohibited. The wool comes from organic animal husbandry (kbT) and is then spun, dyed, and processed in Europe. Everything is certified according to GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and meets the even stricter requirements of the IVN (International Association of Natural Textile Industry). So, no empty promises, but genuine quality labels. That’s something you can count on.

Reiff produces everything locally and completely fairly

What makes Reiff so special? They keep production close to home. No long sea voyages or vague factories far away. Everything happens locally, within a radius of 50 kilometers. From knitting to stitching – everything is managed in-house or with long-term partners. This way, they maintain control over the quality and the people working on it. The accessories are just as fair: mother-of-pearl buttons, coconut, zippers made of recycled material, and sewing thread that is Oeko-Tex 100 certified.
